I installed a pair of Monroe 911258 Reflex at 105k mi. They seem fine.
I haven't done front struts yet - you might want to look at this thread . . ....

Congrats on snagging such a low mileage '06 - my '07 has 135k mi. on it. The first thing you probably want to do is a tranny fluid 'drain and fill' with some Honda DW-1 . . . ...

Something just occurred to me. Does this schematic only relate to the 1st Design VB? Wasn't that only used until mid-'92? Because wadesrc is asking about a '93 (?).

It looks like you have to measure them. I believe mine had the large ports (16mm). The small ports were 11mm.

Welcome aboard wadesrc. It might be a good idea to start a new thread (New Thread button at upper left). These circuits are protected by 3 TRS Fuses in the Underhood J-Box - you might check those. ...

Here is the schematic for the VB. The engine must be running for the Fuel Pump Relay to be energized so that B+ is sent to Pin A on the VB Harness (3rd Gear Solenoid power) . . .

If it is starting off in 3rd, that would suggest the 3rd Gear Solenoid is not getting energized. You didn't mention anything about the 3 TRS Fuses.
