Re: 06 Ion Clutch Pedal Travel Varies
I still have a squeaky clutch pedal, which is stupid and annoying. When everything is working it's a nice car. Unfortunately, keeping everything working at the same time is turning into a real...

Re: 06 Ion Clutch Pedal Travel Varies
OK, Saturn tried bleeding the line. Twice. The problem remained. They finally replaced the clutch master cylinder as a best guess since the problem wasn't a solid failure. After several days it...

Re: 06 Ion Clutch Pedal Travel Varies
Hmmm. I hadn't noticed that but then again I wasn't paying attention! That sounds very likely. Is the vaccum system the same one that services the brakes by any chance?

06 Ion Clutch Pedal Travel Varies
I brought the car back to Saturn 2 weeks ago. DOing at still. Here is the story. Normally there is a good bit of free travel at the end of the clutch pedal throw. You know - about an inch or two...

Can't get 2006 Ion manual trans into gear
The shift lever just wouldn't go into ANY gear. This happened at a light and it took a lot of fiddling around to get it into gear. After driving a block, the trans seemed normal. What the heck is...

Re: Occasional misfire
I took the car in to Saturn yesterday and they scanned it, finding a misfire code. They didn't tell me what the actual code was, but I guess it was a single misfire. The tech could not find a...

Re: Occasional misfire
Really? I thought it was just 3 years 36,000 miles? When did they lengthen the warranty?

Re: Occasional misfire
Is there something I can check with a meter on the coils? What does a good one look like?

Re: Occasional misfire
Would one of those things cause the occasional misfire? It's weird. No, the car is out of warranty (of course).
A while back I had a P0171, and Saturn "recalibrated" the MAS. Whatever that...

Occasional misfire
I have a weird one. 2006 Ion-2 with the 2.2L. I am driving along at maybe 65-70mph. Tach at about 2300. I will get a buck or misfire. No SES lights, it does it once and not again for a few days. ...

Re: UN-Modded :) 2006 Ion-2 throwing P0171
P0171 according to the Autozone printout means;
Definition; Fuel Trim bank one condition
The computer has recognized a rich or lean condition on one engine bank only.
What is an engine bank?...

UN-Modded :) 2006 Ion-2 throwing P0171
Started last night and today the car bucked as I tried to pass on the freeway. Not too happy with that! The car is out of warranty (50K miles, although 2 years old). Had it scanned and P0171 came...
