Re: squeaky running noise from passenger side of engine

I would give it a 2.5f. You can do it without removing shield but if it is your first on a Saturn do so. The air filter assembly needs to come out. Getting tensioner out is easy, getting the bolt...

Re: coolant overflow

Also when you had the leak did you add any coolant stopleak? That can cause blockages and create what fdryer said about a dirty system.

Re: how to repair section of flooring under car

Remove carpet. Grind and cut all rust out then treat with rust inhibitor that you can get at auto parts stores. Prime then paint with a rust preventative paint. Get a flat piece of tin cut bigger...

Re: Surge tank filling up

Did you use a sealant on the inlet? If so and you used to much it is possible that it got into the system and clogged the Tstat causing an overheat situation. Did you burp the system to get the air...

Re: Sealant: the old what one to use trick

I have used the Flex tape with great results. It also makes a great temp patch on my jeep to cover rust for State inspection. I also used it on a plastic 400 gallon water tank that got a crack in it....

Re: Service light

If it is the wrench light then I think but I am not sure of this you have to take it some place that has a tech 2 reader. Also some service light codes have to be read by a tech 2 reader.

Re: Uninstall sway bar

I had to put a set of needle nose vise grips on the bolt behind the nut where my finger is in this pic. New strut links have an area behind the mount for a wrench. Soak them with PB blaster and let...

Re: Replaced Struts, used front Quick Struts...

I used the ultra power. I did not change the mounts because I am on budget. I think that the reason the nut will not go any further is the nut on the shaft that holds the mount and bearings onto the...

Re: Replaced Struts, used front Quick Struts...

I can see by that pic that the rubber under the top mount has a small gap as does mine so I guess that is normal. I can not get my top bolt down that far on the strut shaft. I probably put close to...

Re: Replaced Struts, used front Quick Struts...

Changed my front struts with a set of quick struts. Job was pretty easy except for when I went to tighten the top mount bolt. I put one wrench on the big nut and a smaller wrench on the strut piston...

Re: the old spark plug changing trick

I found $55 coil packs on Ebay. If you get to a Upull J/Y pick up a couple and keep them in the car. They can be changed out with a few minor tools in minutes if one fails on the road.
