Re: February 17th Preview? Lutz Tells Automotive News that Despite Good Cars, Saturn

I don't get the hard hits on Lutz. First of all, he never stated that GM should keep Olds instead. I think hindsight shows that the Olds brand had a MUCH better chance of selling upscale cars.

Re: Jill Lajdziak: Saturn "Examining Various Alternatives" and Exploring "New Busines

When I first told my wife I wanted to go look at a Saturn, she turned up her nose in disgust. I asked why. She said Saturn makes "little plastic cars". She was surprised at how nice the car is.

Re: What is it that we are asking them to save?

I understand that she probably does work hard and didn't have the money she would have liked. But in the end isn't it really about results? No manager in America has as much advertising $$ as they...

What is it that we are asking them to save?

This is not a flame but an honest question from a Saturn owner. What exactly is it that we want them to save? Some of the fans here are loyalists hoping that the old days come back (inexpensive...

Re: Automotive News: General Motors Can Spin Saturn into a Success, Via Opel

People fly on bankrupt airlines that are doing minimum maintenance all the time. People buy houses from bankrupt builders. Let's see, they make larger purchases than cars and put their lives on the...

Re: Some 2007-08 Saturn Outlooks Recalled for Faulty Windshield Wiper Linkages

What do we do if we live in a state that is not covered by the recall but will be driving our vehicle up north for a vacation with the family? Are they going to make me set an appointment with a...

Re: Next Gen Aura put on hold!

Dittos to what BobbyP said. We have found the "Saturn Experience" to amount to nothing. We are not treated better than at most dealerships, nothing special about the service, or the buying...

Re: Development of an All-New (and Unique!) Saturn Aura Underway

I fear with the budgets getting cut that the current Aura's slow start put it well down the list. It seems that they are going to put a push on Buick's midsize products (along with Chevy) and let...

Re: Next Gen Aura put on hold!

That sounds like the old joke about the two hikers that come across an angry bear in the woods. The first one bends down and starts to tie his shoes tighter. The second one says "What are you...

Re: Next Gen Aura put on hold!

You missed the other part of his quote. Lutz said "Our worry with Saturn is that the franchise is not generating enough volume."

Re: Is GM done with Saturn?

Puh-lease, that home movie is a propaganda piece put together by a bunch of conspiracy theory extremists.

Re: Worst Service - Ever

After typing that much, at least you got one thing right. Too bad it was the only thing.

Actually, I do give you credit for making me laugh. That was a pretty good one about worn tires should...

Re: Worst Service - Ever

Indeed it is the Orlando stores that have all of the problems. Daytona Beach is where we bought our Outlook. They work very hard there to take care of everyone. The sales guy Ken is probably the...

Saturn Quality - JD Powers

Many GM brands moved up and were toward the top of the list. These include Cadillac, Chevy, Pontiac, and Buick. Overall it was a good year for GM.

Saturn was ranked as the worst division...

Re: MPG on the Outlook?

We get 15 in the city. On the highway it is quite good at 22.5. The car does not like a lot of stoplights as that really brings the mileage down. It is easy to be in the 14's if you are in a busy...

Re: Worst Service - Ever

Nothing to be sorry about. I am glad that you received such great service. Just because mine has been bad so far doesn't mean I want everyone else to suffer. I would prefer that everyone receives...

Re: Worst Service - Ever

We did the same thing regarding the last of the 07's. Please don't get me wrong. This has been a GREAT vehicle for us. We love it. My point is that I can get the same vehicle from Chevy, Buick,...

Re: Worst Service - Ever

So let's see if I have this straight. Jill is given an entire new fleet of cars to sell. In addition, she has more models than ever before. What does she do with them? She takes the sales down...

Re: Worst Service - Ever

That is why I am struggling with buying a Saturn again. Why wouldn't I buy a Chevy instead? At least if I don't like one service department, I have several more within just a few miles of my house....

Re: Need Help, at wits end with Outlook Engine Light

It took my dealer four visits to correctly change the oil, top off the fluids, and rotate the tires. I fear that if it takes Saturn four tries for something so simple, you may be in for the long...

Re: Worst Service - Ever

I asked and they said "yes". I guess that means that the mechanic swapped the tires side to side instead of front to back. Not good but I guess better than not doing it at all.

Re: Worst Service - Ever

No, they did not do that. What happened is that I asked why the tire pressure monitor system showed pressures that were not set at 35 psi as I was about to leave the dealership. They told me that...

Re: Worst Service - Ever

So I understand what you are saying... I cast a spell over the dealership and had them 1) not rotate my tires 2) not top off the fluids (twice) 3) not properly inflate the tires (twice). I did...

Worst Service - Ever

So I take the Outlook in for an oil change, a top off of the fluids, and a tire rotation at Orlando's finest (and only) Saturn chain. The fronts have a little less tread so it is time to swap. ...
