Re: What is Happening!?

I think it's safe to say you caught a gremlin. Most cars are so dependent upon microchips that it is amazing we don't here more stories like yours.

I would guess that the issue is a physical one,...

Re: The Traverse is here...

I consider it a perk to live anout an hour from the actual South Park, Colorado.

Re: Idling Issues

I have no idea hot the Outlook works, but my SC1 has had issues with the EGR valve for years. It's as if the car is choking or something. I usually throw it into neutral and give it some gas to...

Re: The Traverse is here...

The Enclave is too rounded. It looks like a minivan. I like the snarl of the Outlook. The Acadia would be a bit better looking if their badge were anything other three bright red letters. At...

Re: Nervously stepping into a new Outlook

Hell, my Saturn is second only to my dog. It's always there, always ready to go, gives me almost no trouble, and just seems to know me.

I'll probably be buried in mine.

Re: Safety Flaw in Outlook XE

I tend to see the silver lining. To me, this entire thread should serve to remind us all of our wonderful low cost of ownership.

For example, the Outlook has an incredible amount of interior...

Re: Is anyone using E10 gasoline?

Keep in mind that part of knowing exactly where to pin your RPM is simply being familiar with the vehicle. I've been in mine so long that if you compared a paint chip to a DNA sample, we'd turn out...

Re: Is anyone using E10 gasoline?

DIC? Heavens no. I'm only on the Outlook forum so I can make a smart purchase later this year. No sir, I proudly drive a 1995 SC1. It's on its last leg at this point, but I think I may just keep...

Re: Is anyone using E10 gasoline?

I can only speak for myself on this, but like I said, my mileage went up so much that I have a difficult time getting people to believe the actual numbers.

In Georgia, I averaged about 330 miles...

Re: Is anyone using E10 gasoline?

I moved from Georgia (No E gas) to Colorado (mandatory E-10) and my mileage skyrocketed. I think part of it is the thinner air (living more than 1,000' above Denver), but I am convinced the ethanol...

Re: Future colors....

And there we have it, no Ocean Mist. I'm waiting for "print on demand" type technology to hit the automaking sector.

Re: Oil Changes

Unless you are tossing dirt and metal shavings into your engine, or drive in very dusty and dirty areas with a dramatically changing climate, you should be just fine following the oil life indicator....

Re: Battery Issue

First things first.... even in your own garage it is not a good idea to keep the keys in the ignition. The keys are like a fuse, and even if you don't light it, it's still better to take the fuse...

Re: Vss wire ????? I need help

When all else fails, it is worth talking to someone in the service department at the dealership, and just offering him a six-pack for the 10 minutes it'll take him to get it straightened out. It...

Re: Backup Sensors - Self Install?

I haven't done it, but my neighbor did it himself on his Dodge 3500. He got it done in a day, but he's now a heavy drinker.

Re: Outlook - Gas mileage problems??

Oh, it'll happen. I'm borderline psychotic about pampering the mileage and keeping the tac as low as possible. The tac on my `95 SC1 hasn't seen 3k in two years. Coincidentally, my daily commute...

Re: Future colors....

I wouldn't say that color scheme is a deal breaker, or anything that extreme, but I love the way those two go together. Draws me in like a magnet.

I may have to speed up my plans and try to get...

Future colors....

I won't be able to pick up a new Outlook till the 2009 models come out. So far, I am obsessed with the scheme of Ocean Mist with black leather. Unfortunately, I have seen NO ocean mist Outlooks on...

Re: 34,748 Outlook's total sales for 2007

The hook was, and still is, customer satisfaction and extremely accomodating customer service. I am not sure if that point has simply been beaten into the ground, and thus people have become blind...

Re: Outlook - Gas mileage problems??

With more and more negative press about the advertised mpg not coming to fruition, will Saturn consider polymer again, as a weight saving tactic? I don't know how much lighter polymer is versus...

Re: No Haggle No stress Pricing?

Every dealer haggles. If it isn't sticker, it's something else. When I bought my `95 SC1 13 years ago, during the heyday of the no haggle ads, I haggled for service. I ended up paying sticker, but...
