Re: P2096 code

Hey Everyone,
I just realized that I never got back to this thread with the fix. It was a rear O2 that was replaced back in 2011. I have been having acceleration problems again recently and just...

Re: alarm troubles?

Hey Nathan,
Just wondering if you ever got the alarm issue fixed? I am having the same issue now, and was wondering what yours happened to be?
Thanks!

Bryan

Re: Electrical help. Everyone, please read.

I agree with the other posters. I would get the alternator checked as this sounds like the problem and I have seen at least a couple other threads on the forum with people having alternators die in...

Re: ac not working right,,please help

Do you normally have squirrels crawling in your air filter lunchbox?
:D

Although that would be a little better than a nutria rat like the ones that live around here.

Re: AON - Digency

Basically it's a module that you can plug into the reader port under the steering wheel and it allows control of various computer-driven car functions.

I mainly wanted it for horn blow on lock...

Re: AON - Digency

Hey! Long time no see.
So what is your overall take on the module? Did you keep one for yourself or sell them all? It is one of those things that keeps sitting in the back of my mind as something...

Re: Astra parts

Oh yeah, the rubber strip. I totally forgot to see if they still have that.

Really? The OReileys here usually has it in stock. It almost time for me to give her another oil change actually,...

Re: Astra parts

I get filters from AAP or OReileys.
As for the little recess, I think it's just for coins or keys of something. And as far as I can tell, the holes are there to help with removing it, or to run...

Re: Sunroof?

I agree with you about not regretting the Astra purchase. I was just about to drive from NL to texas at the time and my SC2 just wouldn't cut it. Besides not having much space for carying stuff, the...

Re: Brake life?

Thanks 72g! I will look that up. I try to what I can with my cars if stuff isn't covered by warranty, but I think I will wait on DIY brakes. With only one vehicle, it being out of commission is not...

Re: Brake life?

Well, I am not as fortunate as you guys. Even though I have a manual, I tend to have the clutch in whenever I'm not accelerating. Probably due to learning to drive standard on my own as an adult. But...

Re: ABS and Traction Control Trouble Lights

I think there was some sort of horn recall, but if using the horn affects the radio, then it sounds like it might be a CIM problem. If you search for that, then you should find a bunch of threads as...

Re: Sunroof?

That is pretty sweet! Can you upload a further away pic to see how the whole package looks with a sunroof?

I really miss the sunroof I had in my SC2.

Re: Long time no visit!

Hey Christina! Welcome back!!

I agree with Astra La Vista that contacting the maker of the guard itself might be the best option. They probably have lots of stock lying around. However let me know...

Re: Night Pic

NICE!!

If I had thought about it, I should have taken a pic myself here yesterday. A storm blew in an hour or so before sunset bringing one of the first substantial rainfalls since like christmas...

Re: Belt Buckle Burns

Yeah, it seems down here that no matter which way you face the sun is blasting in. I suppose when it's like 110 degrees outside, it's gonna be pretty hard to keep the car cool. :)

Oh, and in order...

Re: Stereo upgrade, double check please!

I could be wrong with this, so someone else may want to chime in, but I believe the ignition wire only needs a small power signal since it isn't powering the stereo, just letting it know when the car...

Re: Belt Buckle Burns

Maybe mine is a little looser. Although I suspect that my seat may be on just a slightly different bottom angle (left lever) and slightly different seat back height to cause the perfect storm. It...

Belt Buckle Burns

This may be a stupid question, but has anyone else nearly gotten burnt by the seat belt buckle? I have the seat all the way back, and what ever way I have the back tilted, almost everytime I get out...

Re: Stereo upgrade, double check please!

Yeah, I think the reason that the person tapped into the DC power, or any one of multiple leads in that area, was to get an ignition controlled power source for the ignition signal for the radio....

Re: Ignition switch problems

Hmmm... well in that case I don't know. I don't know if the keys can wear down like the old style, but it shouldn't this quickly.

Perhaps someone might have a more productive suggestion.

Re: Ignition switch problems

I'm not sure if this if your problem or not, but if you have your wheels turned while parking it can cause your ignition mechanism to lock up.

Basically, cars are built so that when you take a...

Re: Stereo Mods

Check this vid out. It's a bit cheezy, but I found it amusing!
