Re: Bonehead Saturn Craigslist find of the day

This one just confuses me. I guess it might be worth 5K with all the stuff your getting but just, why though.

Re: Oil drain plug gaskets

Is there a way to tell if the drain plug has a recessed head without removing it? I have a leak coming from the drainplug as well and was just gonna replace the gasket the next time I change the oil....

Re: Bolt on hood struts

Made a mistake here with what bolt it is. It's actually the upper bolt, part no. 11609978. The vehicle list seems to be identical for both bolts though.

Re: Saturn Craigslist Deal of the Day!

My mom had a purple wagon up until last year when she wanted a newer car. It had a metallic finish to it so it looked really good in the sunlight. Well, I thought it did anyway.

I've never seen a car parked in a garage sideways like that before.

Re: How many miles left once Low Fuel light comes on?

I've had the light come on a few times but looking at my notes, I've never put in more than 10.2 gallons. I guess mine just comes on early.

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Did this a few weeks ago now but put a new belt on the car.

For months now I've had an occasional squeak that I couldn't track down. Decided it was worth trying a new belt, even though the old one...

Re: Bolt on hood struts

I found that the part number for the Buick stud is 25654985. Can't find the Chrysler stud part number though. It was probably discontinued or was never sold on its own. Either way though, I wouldn't...

Re: S-Series Mileage Milestones 100k 150k 200k 250k and beyond

I wanted to but by the time I realized to do that I already passed 111000. Guess I'll have to remember for 222222 :D

Re: I think I need a thermostat

Another way to tell if your thermostat is bad is to watch what kind of mileage you get. I remember before I changed my thermostat, I knew about checking the heat but it was my first winter with a...

Re: A 2001 SC2 "BUMBLEBEE EDITION" 99 were made, where are they?

That looks like someone at the factory just wrote that on there with a sharpie, lol. I do like it though. (I don't actually think it's sharpie, I'm assuming it was painted on with a stencil or...

Re: A 2001 SC2 "BUMBLEBEE EDITION" 99 were made, where are they?

Did the bumblebee's have a plaque or something on them somewhere that said what number they where in the production run? I know they had a certificate that said it but I forgot if there was something...

Re: A double take

Technically no but it could be the elusive "SL3" that was planned for 94. Although it's more likely you just saw a car that looked a lot like a 1st gen Saturn.

High milage but current bid is still low and it seems like it was well maintained.

Re: S-Series Subframe Removal (1994-2002)

Here's a question I haven't seen asked anywhere before. Can you fit the subframe inside the trunk/back seats? Getting one wouldnt be a problem for me, getting one home might though if I'd need a...

Re: More Fog Light Issues

Does the underside of the fuse box cover have a diagram on it of all the fuses like gen 2/3?if it does, it'll probably say where the fog fuse and relay is, even though your Saturn didn't come with...

Re: Stalling at start up when engine is hot

The 97 and below doesn't use a combined fuel filter and pressure regulator. It's only 98 and up you really have to care about what filter you're getting. I think the fuel pressure regulator is apart...

Re: Setting time in this darn Saturn stereo

Junkyard is pretty much the only place to get replacement knobs.

I've always wondered why almost every radio listed on ebay for the S Series is missing at least one knob. They're not the easiest...
