Re: Biggest mistake I've made

Actually, both previous owners were older ladies - I know this because I knew both owners. There are actually more issues with the 1.8L which is why I bought the 2.4L. If you google it - the 1.8L...

Biggest mistake I've made

I guess you can say I screwed up. Got a great deal on a 2009 Corolla XRS back in May. Sold my 2004 Saturn Ion 3 and started driving the Corolla.

Already spent $2000 on this car! More than I've...

Time for another goodbye.

First - said goodbye a few years ago when I got rid of my SC-1 and bought a Q5.
Then came back when I purchased a 2004 Ion (most reliable car I ever had). Was planning on keeping it until a...

Re: Advice on repair

While I do agree with deca5423 - I would approach it differently. Not sure what it cost in the US for a headgasket job or valve job. Here in Canada, if I own a car that needs $1500 worth of work...

Re: My '07 Ion 2 doesn't handle well in the rain

I'd go with the tires - My 04 Saturn was crap when it rains, I had goodyear allegra that has more than 60% thread left.
Decided to buy 4 new Michelin Premier, now I have no issues when it rains, had...

Re: Finally bought my first Saturn. Did I get a decent deal?

Congrats on your purchase.

I bought my 2003 Ion Level 3 on March 13th for $1000 which was in good shape but needed a couple of things done before I can get the safety inspection done.
It was...

Re: I'm back!

Toggenburg - I used to drive a Nissan X-Trail. So the center cluster shouldn't be hard to get used to.

I'm back!

Well, not sure if you guys remember me - I had a 2002 SC1 that I sold last summer and bought an Audi Q5. Geez, $500 for a headlight bulb? Good thing I still had warranty.

In any event, bye Audi...

Farewell and thank you

As some of you may know, I was getting rid of my 2002 SC1 because it's a 5 speed and the girlfriend can't drive a stick.

So what ended up happening is I got rid of the Jeep, the Bimmer and the...

Re: Bye-Bye SC1 or Bye-Bye Girlfriend?

more questions to answer:

anmasher - whp = 525HP. Dynamo at 600HP - was going to post the pics of the dynamo printout - but couldn't be readable - hence the picture of what Full Metal Jacket...

Re: Bye-Bye SC1 or Bye-Bye Girlfriend?

To answer a few question - Audi timing belt was not replaced - broke, engine gone. She thought when they replaced the serpentine belt, it was the same as the timing belt.

Dennyj1992 - No rust...

Re: Bye-Bye SC1 or Bye-Bye Girlfriend?

To my knowledge - everything is good in car - I just had it all checked out the other day to see what it would need for safety. They didn't find any issues. If you know what repair shops are like,...

Re: Bye-Bye SC1 or Bye-Bye Girlfriend?

I had the Jeep since new back in 1995 and spent too much $$$ on it. Have a 2 inch lift and drive it in really bad snowstorms. So selling it is not an option. Also need it to pull my sailboat.

Bye-Bye SC1 or Bye-Bye Girlfriend?

I bought this 2002 SC1 back in October - it has served me well and I'm happy with my purchase since it saved me a lot of money in gas compared to my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I love driving my...

Growing up in Canada, I had the advantage of driving in all kinds of weather.

This Saturday and Sunday, we got dumped a few inches of snow mixed with freezing rain. Makes the roads sloppy, icy...

Re: What did you learn to drive in, and what was your first car?

Learned to drive a 1979 Jeep Wagoneer - used to sneak it out when my father went to sleep - I was 15 at the time. 1982, I got my drivers license and parents were going to buy me a 1980 Datsun 280Z,...

Re: Loud bang - can't find it.

Interesting - I just had mine done - patched because tailpipe was cut in half - they spent 30 minutes to get it done - total charge = $0.

Keep in mind however, I take all my vehicles to them in...

1) Could anyone educate me/provide me with a reliable and understandable reference about these "ratings" and what they mean?
2) What does the "M...
