well I got the s.o.b. water pump on. haynes manual says a few cars the pulley wo't come off alone and has to come off with the pump....ofcourse mine has to be the few that way.

alll that video does is show me how to get the pulley bolts off, done that, the damn thing wont come out plus i cant get at the upper bolts unless i take the a/c compressor off...i wish i never...

I dont see how you can say this is easy. The pulley wont even come out from the car, 1/2 the bolts on the upper top of the pump i have no clue how to get them off....this is bull****

sweet! I'll watch the video and try to tackle the water pump. I bought mine at AutoZone too for $30.00 (brand new one).

unclip the EGR and see if that makes a difference. Mine went bad and did like your descibing, I unclipped it and immediately ran great. It's been off ever since.

many will tell you don't use Platinum plugs, but I use them and dont' notice any difference. I been liking them Auto Lite Double platinum, lasts a long time, NGK tho is a excellent brand too.

How hard is it to replace the water pump on my 2000 SC2? How long of a job am I looking at too?
I just have the standard tools, sockets, ect and a good 3 ton jack and jack stands to raise the front...

well.......when Im driving and going say 60 mph and floor it, I dont get that jump in power to pass someone but a slow crawl upwards in speed.
I just can't believe this nonsense. I'm gonna take it...

ok, but one other sympton overlooked is when idling in park, the RPM's dont rev up like it used to, also when I am driving and hit the gas, it doesnt jump to the high gear to pass someone, but slowly...

Thats a posibility, but if its off by one or so, then P would be reverse or one of the gears, I get zero reverse. But I'll look into it. I was thinking Valve Body myself, but hard to believe it would...

Ok heres the story.....2001 SW2...Alternator went bad, drove it home other day on the battery. Barely made it home, at this time all the dash lights were dead, car dies and i coast it to the garage....

If your a/c system was dry or empty, you need to first add a can of "Charge oil". Advance and Walmart sells them right by the cans of R13a.
I learned this when all mine leaked out and I put in R13a...

yah buy the whole hub assembly. I bought that and then just took it to a shop and let them put it on..runs great since then.

I had a run in with Tires recenlty (February).
My SW2 calls for 185 65 R15. They had on them 195 65 R15....ran great but were getting bald. So I bought brand new quality tires 185 65 R15....

Dexron III is old, newer fluids stand up better to heat.
Mercon was also Dexron III compatible, so when Mercon V came out, I used it. Mercon V is primarily for Fords...

I had the EXACT same problem, but in my case it was with my 1995 Ford Escort. It was the IDLE AIR INTAKE sensor. If Saturn has the same, check that, also UNPLUGG your EGR sensor, see if that helps.
