Re: Door Removal & "Wiring"

Maybe I'm not understanding something but I would think you can reuse the existing wiring harness and PM by reusing the interior door panel. The only thing different will be the metal door and...

Re: Possible ground issue

I quickly gave up the idea of trying to fix the control unit myself. The capacitors had no markings and it would have been a guess if that even fixed it. Then I would have to drive to DC to install...

Re: Possible ground issue

My initial search tells me that capacitors can go bad in the cold. From your pictures, I can see what looks like a capacitor associated with the knob. Schematics of the module would be nice but I...

Re: Possible ground issue

That was exactly the problem. When the car was warm, the temp dial worked perfectly. (I thought the electrical cleaner spray worked) The next morning when it was 21 degrees, it would not work at...

Possible ground issue

First Happy Thanksgiving. So my cousin's 2003 L 4cyl seems to have a loose ground. The heater/fan control works intermittently. It seems to related to the instrument panel lights and dimmer.. She...

Re: Tire choices

thanks for the offer but I already had the rims. I saw they came with 235/65R16. I decided to go with 215/70. Got Firestone Weathergrip. I've previously used Continental Eco for the Vue. they...

Tire choices

So I've got a nice 2007 Vue about a year ago. I got the nice alloy rims from a junk yard (the Payless Saturn Auto Salvage in Kansas. On a quick side note, every time I call for parts , those guys...

Re: replacing front sub frame ?

Okay, I see now that the splash shield on the passenger side is just a bigger version of the driver side. There was front end damage on that side so it looked like a separate piece to me. the part...

Re: replacing front sub frame ?

I literally just replaced the subframe on my 2004 L two weeks ago. I found the rust because I was comparing it to my 2003. I was looking for the plastic shield (or pan) that is only on the...

Re: Replaced Struts, used front Quick Struts...

Just bought a "new" 2003 Saturn L200 that needed struts. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that they made quick struts now. I have never been able to torque the strut mount with any confidence...

Re: New 07 vue 2.2

Re: Planning to buy Saturn Vue.......

Don't overlook the 4 cylinder Vues. The 4's are super reliable and easy to work on. I'm still driving my 2004 L with 180 k and my daughter has my wife's 2005 Vue with 120k. Both going strong. My...

Re: 2003 L200 needs love

I'm sad to report the transmission seems to have given up the ghost. It bled out and now does not move. I was going to call a junk dealer and have it towed away then I thought if someone wants to...

Re: 2003 L200 needs love

I think I solved the mystery of the upside down horn relay. As I said I fixed the horn. I didnt mention it was a weak horn sound. I figured a horn that didnt work for how many years would have built...

Re: 2003 L200 needs love

Actually I think your screen shot says it quite clearly in section 5 in the "Important" note. And your screenshot doesnt specify passenger or driver. It just says "strut".

You just need to...

Re: 2003 L200 needs love

As I have actually installed a strut backwards I'm probably the resident expert on this. The key is the "half round notch must point to the front when in the spring compressor tool". My brain read...

Re: 2003 L200 needs love

So I fixed the horn. Bought a horn relay from Rock auto because for 13 bucks it seemed like the easiest thing to try. So I go to put it in and I see itís the same relay as the DRL but its upside...

Re: 2003 L200 needs love

I finally broke down and went to Chevrolet and bought the BCM and had them program it. While the odometer not working was annoying it was the lack of a horn that was just too much. You just cant...

Re: 2003 L200 needs love

Busy summer so not much got done on the "new" L. I fixed the water leak. Yea, the car had a constant smell of "hay". maybe it was mildew but it reminded me of hay. Since the AC didn't work, that...
