Swapping heater hose positions at core

2003 3.0L Vue 178k miles

I've always had air bubbles sounding in my heater core. I use a vacu-fill kit so they're not there at first, but always appear days or weeks later. I hear this is a...

Re: DEAD 2008 Vue XR, HELP ME!?!?!?!?!?

Thank God for this post! I was about to go see a 2009 V6 with 115k miles for sale. I didn't realize 2007 was the last year of the bulletproof Honda 3.5L V6, and that the 3.6L has stretchy chains.

Re: 2003 3.0L Vue - Radiator change-out

ACDELCO 22664740

I found the answer on Rockauto by searching for 'transmission cooler' for my engine. It's an air-to-oil type cooler that's sandwiched between the A/C condenser and the radiator. ...

Re: Sky Trunk is open warning

Didn't see it in your file set, but I'm attaching the page from my manual. One shot shows the location of the two bolts. The other shows the torque spec for them.

I've never actually adjusted the...

2003 3.0L Vue - Radiator change-out

175,000 miles on the original radiator. I hear that's pretty good. Now I have a slow leak at the passenger side tank-to-core fitting. Looks to be half way up the radiator tank.

I have not been...

Re: Sky Trunk is open warning

Open the trunk and locate the latching ring on the lid. Use it to locate the locking latch inside the car. If necessary, pull the carpet back from the latch. You should see two bolts which attach the...

Re: Sky Trunk is open warning

Yeah, you're going to have to get into the latch area, loosen those two bolts, and slide it up a tad. Should be easy to do though.

Re: I purchased a clone Tech 2, ask me anything.

I'll poke around but you're probably right. Hmm.. actually, I may put in a call to someone at Vetronix to see if they put it in the code. heh heh

Re: I purchased a clone Tech 2, ask me anything.

2003 V6 Vue

I have a Tech 2 clone as well. Ironic since I once was a s/w engineer at Vetronix programming it.

I installed a used BCM after the original died and am now showing 55k miles too...

Re: No heat

My factory service manual shows that it's a huge job because you have to take the dash frame out, and everything about the dash is mounted to that frame. My ex's blend motor failed over winter, but...

Re: Interior Passenger Door Handle

Many Sky trim parts were borrowed from other GM models. It's really word of mouth as people discover what parts crossover. I heard the Cobalt news on skyroadster.com a few months ago. You can find...

Re: Sky Trunk is open warning

Two things at work here. The sensor for it being closed, and the latch itself. The latch has two bolts that can be loosened. You can then move it up and down as needed to get the tightness you want....

Re: Why are threads so old?

I think the critical mass for Sky discussion is at skyroadster.com

Myself, I've been on here for many years due to my Vue. Only today did I realize there's a Sky subforum. :arr:

Re: I need to update my odometer mileage

Sorry about that. I found this topic by search and didn't think to look at which forum it as under. I've reposted to the Vue one. I can't seem to delete the one here though. Appreciate the heads-up.

Re: 2006 Vue Coolant Level Sensor

Yes, I don't plan to put any more effort into the existing surge tank. The float moves freely and I've verified that it's 0.04 ohm resistance when closed. Maybe the float beings to sink when it gets...

Re: 2003 saturn vue 3.0 proper "cold air intake?

Looks like nobody got back to you on this. I have the 3.0L 2003 and looked at your setup. What you need is a scantool you can drive around with and observe the "AIT" value. The OEM AIT yields 6-10F...

Re: Codes: P2176, 0121, 0221, 2135

Tonight my 2003 Vue 3.0 almost couldn't make it home. Wrench code, check engine light, occasional reduce power light. Many stalls, many irritated drivers behind me, but it made it home.

I had...

Re: 2003 V6 Vue - HVAC panel light bulbs

Hmm... now that you mention a 5v regulator, I'd better verify what voltage the bulbs are rather than assume it's 12!
