That 98 wiring chart is right, because when I pull the key out with the old ignition switch in the chime kept going off, lol.

I'm betting that's what happened, so far as I go up the loom I haven't...

Hey guys, so I didn't even attempt to start it from the starter. The black ground from the ignition switch is completely melted to bare wire and it goes as far as I can see into the loom like that....

Exactly what it is, I just saw that in there checking fuses. What's the fuel probe for?

Just have to trace this wire loom back to where it goes and see if that ground isn't shorting out on...

Well, jumping 87 and 30 did nothing, key was turned, clutch switch bypassed, etc. Does this directly indicate the starters side of things? I double checked all fuses again, all good.

I'll check this tomorrow. If memory serves today all lights came on and went off except the check engine light and batt light stayed on. I'm thinking maybe I didn't leave the battery disconnected...

Lol.. that's crazy. Electrical system should be much happier with 2 gauge now, on top of the OEM cables.

Curious, while doing the big 3, I was astonished at how small the gauge appeared to be on the OEM battery leads to the alternator were. What gauge exactly are they?
