Re: Blowout!!!

Weird, mine was burst too.... it was also very well used, so I assumed it happened during use. I never asked my brother-in-law about it.

I pulled a 14" fullsize wheel from a salvage yard car...

Re: Straight Up Bragging Rights

Very interesting... mine/grandma's was pretty rust free visibly. The transmission eventually gave up. I don't recall the mileage when that happened, but a former coworker that rebuilt transmissions...

Re: Putting 1999 SC2 wheels on 2000 SL2

Thanks for the info.... it looks like I'm going to go to the 195/60's on my SL2.... I really need tires TODAY, and no one seems to stock much in the 185/65 size. The one Discount Tire that has the...

Re: Whats your MPG?

The best I've gotten is 35mpg, with my owners manual sitting on my desk... does that help? :D

Re: Straight Up Bragging Rights

Let's see.... only one Saturn but I
m toying with the idea of seeking out a 2nd, a Vue, or possibly but not likely an Outlook.

1981 Chevy LUV (never in my name, but purchased used for me)
1982...

Re: Torque for Saturn aluminum rims?

I didn't think of that.... I grabbed a steel fullsize to use as a spare. I did grab the lug nuts too, but I don't think they're in the car. I just took them instead of leaving them on the ground,...

Re: Mystery coolant leak

That would be quite a leak, for it to be intermittent.

Re: Don't you hate aluminum wheels?

Your rant is missing my point. My observations lead me to believe that the Saturn S-series uses cheaper materials in some places than I'm used to seeing in other vehicles. In other words I'm not...

Re: Don't you hate aluminum wheels?

Our bolts/nuts seem to rust up more than I've seen elsewhere too. I think GM speced cheaper materials in some places. Probably a cheaper clear in our case. Factory rims usually aren't just...

Re: Bonehead Saturn Craigslist find of the day

That doesn't look like he beat the crap out of it to me. Look at the attention to detail in his work, and the toys sitting next to it in the garage. The guys got money and spends it on his toys.

Re: Bonehead Saturn Craigslist find of the day

The wing and the air intake need to go, but that is a very clean car. I wouln't fault someone seriously into Saturns for buying that.

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Are you talking about the plastic pins? I may have enough of those. I need to clean them up and take a count. I actually snapped screws. There are three screws and u-clip on the front most edge...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

A turkey baster sounds really easy, and I've got one for garage use. I've actually got the wheel well liner out, so I'm sure it won't be too hard to do. That reminds me, I need to get that liner...

Re: Radiator recommendation

I think you're confusing Delphi and AC Delco. If available, I would expect a Delphi radiator to be about the same price as the Denso... I doubt you'd find a Delphi, Though.

I've never had my...
