I'm Brandon's dad. I really appreciate all of the kind words that you have for Brandon. He was a good son.

It's been 7 weeks since he was killed. It still feels like a nightmare and I just...

Re: front end growl

I had the same problem with my 04 Vue RL. I could hear the "growl" when making turns for about a month, but it was barely noticeable. Than earlier this week the "growl" became much more pronounced,...

I'm having a problem with my driver side seatbelt on my 92 SC. The motorized seatbelt is semi-stuck in the up position. When I open my door, the seatbelt moves up about 3 inches and then stops. ...

SOHC and DOHC

Why did Saturn ever decide to offer the SOHC engine when the DOHC engine is so much better? It seems like everyone with the SOHC is looking for a DOHC to do an engine swap...

Re: Well, today started out alright...

The connector looks like it's brand new. I was kind of surprised.

EDIT: This is white95SL1, but I'm on my dad's computer, and he was logged in.

Re: Piston Soak - Positive Results

I'm doing the 2nd piston soak tonight.

I drove the car to Pensacola, FL last weekend, a round trip of 1400 miles. I got 35.8 mpg. Maybe my expectations were a little high, but I was hoping for...

Re: Piston Soak - Positive Results

Well...I got my car back today. There was no further engine damage caused by the timing chain. I guess I was lucky there.

The car is running great. I think I'm going to do another piston soak...

Re: Piston Soak - Positive Results

The noise wasn't too bad, but it was noticable. The noise did not increase with RPM's either. I would say that if the chain had gone out at high speed, there would have been much more internal...

Re: Piston Soak - Positive Results

I went by the shop today and got to see what the problem was. The tensioner (plastic) was broken and it released the tension on the timing chain. The teeth on the lower sprocket was badly worn and...

Thanks Tiger...

I think I'm going to do another piston soak tonight. My car is still running great. I haven't been seeing the white smoke like I was seeing before the piston soak.

I guess...

Re: G1 S-Series Front Disc Brake Job

I just changed the front pads on my 93 SL1. Everything went very smoothly. There was no need to replace the rotors at this time. I guess my next project is to replace the pads on the rear. I...

Re: what's your gas mileage RIGHT NOW?

I just filled up today and got 27.8 mpg. That's not bad considering that I was getting around 21 until last week. I replace the ECTS and the AITS. A couple of weeks before that I changed plugs and...
