No... no... sorry but this is not the issue. The starter is fine as I said, it cranks when power is put to it. The starter is only about 4 months old. BOTH CARS RAN/STARTED FINE, with the exception...

Sorry I have nearly no electrical knowledge, which part of that treasure map is the interlock switches? And where abouts would they be?

Its a 2001 Saturn SL1, base model, no power windows, locks or security system or anything fancy.

The ignition switch worked for the other car, the car it came out of that started and ran fine,...

First off thanks everyone for the help. Now.........

Jumped battery, still nothing. The fuel pump does turn on when the key is turned, the radio (aftermarket) goes black, no sound.

I roll...

Read the above comments. It worked, the security light is no longer on, but the car will not start, crank, click, buzz, nothing.

Any ideas? I'm clueless at this point.

Ok so this time it worked, it no longer has a security flash, other than the solid light at the turn of the key but it goes away in about 3 secconds....

Now it still does not start. Everything...

Both cars are the same. 2001's. I tried this in attempt 1. I will try again, see you in 30 minutes.

I cannot get my car to start after replacing the ignition housing and switch. I did a swap from one car that ran to another...

Ignition swap compatability

I have a 2001 SL1 Manual and was wondering if I could swap a few components with a 2001 SL1 Auto?

-Entire ignition assembly+switch

-Steering wheel

-Air bag

-Circle thing behind steering...
