Re: Survey: Does YOUR RL have rear camber?

Camber should have little to no impact on wear assuming toe is 0, which it should be on a Vue. I ran 2+ degrees of negative camber on all four corners in my WRX for over a year and had no real wear...

Re: Does An Air Intake Mod Really Give You a Significant Power Boost?

It looks like a photochop of the K&N in the picture shown. Notice that the filter in on the TB end and the filter end is open?

I'm left to question the build quality of an item made by a company...

Re: Does An Air Intake Mod Really Give You a Significant Power Boost?

Dyno'd is just a term meaning that one has "run" their vehicle on a rolling Dynamometer to determine true HP and TQ levels to the wheels.

Re: Black Interior?

The Ebony package of '05 was a preview essentially of the interior style made standard in the 06-07 RL's. The Ebony package as in my 05 consists of black leather/faux suede seats with more aggresive...

Re: Will this bumper pad work for my 04 RL?

It will fit just fine. I have one on my '05 RL with no issues and the 04-05 bumpers are identical.

Re: ScanGaugeII and cum mpg

Yup. Click the the bottom buttons (not the home button though) while in Trip and you select a tank setting. Be sure to follow all of the instructions on setting up your engine size and tank size...

Re: Alternative Replacement Tire Size For '04 R/L

So what's the view on 255/45/18? It's about 4/10's of an inch smaller in diameter which shouldn't affect the speedo too much. Will the 255/45 ratio clear the inner strut up front? Theoretically a...

Cool, glad to hear it came out well. What pads did you use?

Re: New Forum Section for Vue Gen. 2

A Mac (apple) forum that I frequent has a work-around for major redesigns of models that share the same name which works pretty well. Rather than opening up whole new area of the forum they give an...

Re: Daytime Running Lamps

You can't show pictures of a DeLorean that was in the family and not expect Back to the Future quotes. :D

No, we no longer have the car in the family. Long story short, but my Dad is a bit of a...

Re: Daytime Running Lamps

The DeLorean was, um, interesting. Though it says "my DeLorean" it was actually my Dad's name on the pink. I just took care of it. :D (this was in 1999 or so, so I was still in HS and living at...

Re: VUE broken into: you be the detective

Maybe they thought they could break the front window, pop the hood, disconnect the battery so as to disarm the alarm, and then open the door to have thier way with the stereo and other contents of...

Re: Daytime Running Lamps

I don't know how much life it will add to the bulbs either, but it couldn't hurt.

And thanks! Don't tell anyone, but I actually wanted a silver one. ;) However, I couldn't find a Silver/Ebony...

Re: Daytime Running Lamps

Luckily, when removing the DRL relay from our Vues we do not inhibit the auto-on feature at all. In the area of California that I live in it is usually too bright to notice any real safety benefit...

Re: Daytime Running Lamps

No after effects in my case other than the blinking DRL light as I mentioned earlier. I had upgraded/modified headlights in my WRX which required me to remove the DRL relay in that car as well, will...

Re: Daytime Running Lamps

I just updated my gallery with a picture of my fuse box. In the picture I have circled the DRL relay (removed in the photo). I'm not 100% certain that the 3.0L has the relay in the same location,...

Re: Daytime Running Lamps

It sounds like your DRL relay is either bad, loose, or unplugged all together. I have intentionally removed my DRL relay and I have the same effect (the DRL light flashes a few times moments after...

Re: 2004 RL - Rear suspension/wheel question

It's most likely normal. Check most cars you drive behind and they will have this to some degree. It's negative camber and manuf. add it to reduce the effects of oversteer. Check a G35 the next...

Re: Turbo redline...

An all aluminum motor, and most importantly, an "open deck", which the honda V-6 motor has, is not ideal for boost. The motor in your Typhoon (and the motors in my GN and T-Type) were cast iron and...

Re: here comes a war :) platinum plug results

Would this not be a "single-blind" study. Usually a double-blind study is one in which the test giver and test taker do not know which item/variable they are testing. I know this is the case in...

Re: K&N cold air intake kit

Nope. No major change. At the time I had a sales job that required me to travel the EXACT same route throughout the week, and the two fill-ups prior to the install and the two fill ups following it...

Re: K&N cold air intake kit

I have the kit installed as well. I installed it at around 10k miles and am now at about 30k miles. I've never noticed too much of a difference with an exception of the midrange rpm where the butt...

Re: I Applied for a Personalized Plate

I believe you are correct.

I snagged REDLIIN as it was the closest I could get to Redline. Most people seem to get it, but you get the occasion person that asks "What's redlyn?"
