Re: after many years, purchased another s-series

No mods will be done for now. The gentleman I bought it from has complete paperwork on it, and all tune-up items were done about 20k miles ago. Clutch was replaced at 120k. I just plan to clean up...

after many years, purchased another s-series

I was a frequent poster on these boards back several years ago - had a 94 sl2 that I regret selling (one of the best overall cars I've owned, and I've owned a LOT of cars).

Anyway, picked up a 99...

Re: 91 - 92 Header

I happen to have one of those headers, with downpipe, painted with ceramic paint (grey), polished the ports, and have the o2 sensor hole drilled and tapped for the larger 02 sensor (so yours will...

Re: HAVE A LITTLE FUN - What's your biggest repair mistake?

First time I replaced the clutch on the Saturn, I got it all fully reassembled (12 or 14 hours later) and couldn't find the electrical connector for the ECTS (did that at the same time). Then I saw...

Re: I love working on these cars

..They didn't make a 300zx turbo in 1980.. :) 1984 Anniversary Edition 300zx was the first 300zx. Perhaps its a 280 turbo? (sorry for the off topic, I also own a 1985 300zx).

Re: I love working on these cars

Get your hands dirty? When I owned my 94 It was so clean people were amazed when I showed them under the hood - not a spec of dirt or oil on, under or around the engine compartment :). Id crawl...

Re: New Headliner, Tips?

I used the correct 3m headliner glue - its the stuff that the pro shops use. I wouldnt recommend much of anything else. Do this job once.

Also, I recommend laying the fabric down over the...

Re: This week has been horrible...accident.

Not always - if they can prove you hit the brakes intentionally you are at fault.. (don't ask me how I know, I still have a year before the PFJ runs out).

So D... how is it?????

Re: Extra Weight for Winter Traction

Not to nit pick, but safest and best handling are not necessarily synonymous. There is a reason most cars are made to understeer - supposedly its safer for someone who panics if they lose traction. ...

Re: In the Midst of My First Clutch and ???

Sorry I didnt see this earlier, I was going to say just that. I didnt remove my shift tower and still had plenty of room for my "big boned" body to install/remove the clutch.

When popping those...

Re: Making a Warm-Air-Intake

those newer sc2s I think look great, they just dont have the power to back up the looks (can you imagine an 02 sc2 AWD turbo with about 200hp?). They look a lot faster then they are. Anyway, at...

Re: Collection of my recent posts (MPG quest)

40 psi is high unless you are running thin low profile tires. It will help with gas mileage but it will also cause the center of your tread to run down quicker than the outside, ruining your tires...

Re: Making a Warm-Air-Intake

If you have colder air in, the computer puts more fuel in to compensate. Perhaps you haven't noticed a difference because the new intake removes restrictions? Every car I have owned with a CAI...
