Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Pulled a drivers door from a 93 SW2 at the local Pick-N-Pull to have a backup manual window regulator. This part has gotten so rare, and a lot of them in the yards are broken, so I picked up a good...

Re: Any interest in leather steering wheels?

+1 on leather steering wheels. Hopefully, a SF member takes you up on it. I found a leather wheel about a year ago from a 94 HCE that I installed. Love it. Keep your eyes open for a 93-94 SC2...

Re: new tire recommendations?

+1 on General Altimax RT43. These are a top pick at Consumers Report. I bought a set last spring and have been pleased with them. Keep an eye on rebates. I would get 80-90k miles on the...

Re: need help with power steering pump part #

Picked up the vehicle today, and the Cardone brand rebuilt pump is working good, and not noisy:) If it gives me issues, I'll look at going to manual steering.

Re: Parts availability

The driver door manual window regulator was replaced in my sedan last summer and it took a lot of searching to find it. I just bought the whole door off of a 95 SL2 and had my body shop replace it...

Re: need help with power steering pump part #

The PS pumps on Amazon were several weeks to wait upon. Ordered a Cardone brand that cross references the 21013318 part # from the local Advance store. If it's not the correct one, and not...

Re: A2Saturn & Highmile meet up in St Louis

Highmile's car presents very well for a car that has almost 700,000 miles on it. It just goes to show you that with proper care, Saturn's can last a long, long time. We were given a nice compliment...

Re: Blowout!!!

I tried fitting a 175/70/14 tire with about 2/32 tread left in the wheel well, but it really didn't fit. I've replaced the compact spare tire once, and I'll go with the Tire Rack option that Waiex...

Re: How to tell that you own a Saturn S

After parking your car in a parking lot and return, you can't find your car.
This is due to the low profile of the S-Series, surrounded by all the tall vehicles parked around it, and blocking your...

Re: Will switching from conventional to synthetic hurt my SL2?

The oil cap should say 5w30. Try Amsoil Signature Series 5w30 using the longer oil filter Wix 51516 XP. This holds a bit extra oil and has more filtering capacity. Rock Auto has good pricing on...

Re: First time buyer - how many miles is too many?

I can vouch for the 94' model year, with the SOHC engine and manual transaxle for the great gas mileage. Just don't be in a hurry to accelerate or mountain climb with the SOHC engine. I'm over 427k...
