If you have access to a scanner, monitor coolant temperature and see if the fan kicks on at around 221F.

You probably need to replace the fuel filter assembly which includes the line with the leaking fitting.

The usual problems with the plastic DOHC manifolds are coolant leaks. It's the SOHC engines that are prone to defective intake manifold gaskets which cause vacuum leaks and associated idle problems....

I've had it happen on my 97 several times and I believe it was the valves not closing all the way. It would resolve itself by letting it sit a while before trying again. I have not experienced it...

There is a test port for a fuel pressure test gauge under the hood in the fuel line going to the fuel rail. You should be able to borrow one from Autozone or equivalent.

The starter is not controlled by the PCM so chances are, your problem is simple. Check to make sure the purple solenoid wire is connected to the starter. If so it should see 12V when the key is...

I don't think the DOHC exhaust manifold will line up properly with the SOHC exhaust down pipe.

That is normal and it is very easy to make a mess when adding oil. The baffle on the underside of the cover is what causes it.

There is a short metal line that is part of the dryer that screws to the hard line that goes to the TXV. That line is all metal and not typically replaced so it would have to be a junk yard item....

The pre-cat is part of the exhaust manifold. It can be readily unbolted and removed after moving the AC compressor out of the way. If you are just wanting to break out the honeycomb catalyst...
