Re: Anther Vue No Crank Question

Not sure what the exact problem is, but insofar as the key is concerned, you can go to a Chevrolet dealership with your vehicle's title and have them cut new keys for you based on the VIN number. My...

Re: P0341 Camshaft position sensor

I was just about to ask if its the cam or crank shaft position sensor, but you clarified it in your second post. My 2007 2.2 Vue was throwing error codes as well, but I replaced the camshaft sensor...

Re: Mileage check-in...

If I'm not mistaken, I remember seeing a repair spray specifically to repair the headliner. Although I imagine a glue stick should do the trick.

Let's see how many of us are still running.

Year: 2007
Engine: 2.2 liter
Mileage: 149,000 miles

Re: Subframe Rust

Doesn't look that bad to me, but I can understand their hesitation to work on it. Removing bolts will probably be hell, plus if any of them snap due to corrosion, they're looking at wasted time to...

Re: 2007 Saturn Vue 2.2 not holding RPMs

@FD

Sounds like your suggesting I run these compression tests before spending any money on head gasket replacement. I agree this makes sense, but let me ask you another question. Given that I'd...

Re: 2007 Saturn Vue 2.2 not holding RPMs

I believe I could try to pull it off, but I just don't have the time with 2 little boys and a pregnant wife 2 weeks away from the due date to spend many hours in the garage.

Re: 2007 Saturn Vue 2.2 not holding RPMs

I agree, paying versus doing it yourself definitely changes the equation. There are some things I feel comfortable doing (ex. tie rods) myself, but tearing apart the engine or doing the timing chain...

Re: 2007 Saturn Vue 2.2 not holding RPMs

So the shop I'm considering taking the vehicle to get the timing chain replaced recommended I also change the head gasket (I'm losing coolant and have been refilling). When I asked him, can't I just...

Re: Oscillating thudding Right Rear

I'm in the same position as the others in terms of rust (live in Midwest). Doing any kind of work underneath is a real pain in the ass because every bolt, screw, nut is covered in rust or seized up...

Re: 2007 Saturn Vue 2.2 not holding RPMs

I plan on cleaning the throttle body this weekend. I'm hoping that will resolve the issue I'm seeing with the rpms.

As for the other items:

1. Timing chain - At 140,000 miles chain is rattling...

Re: Getting new keys.

It's not? Does a key fob have to have the key integrated in it in order to be called a "key fob"?

Re: Getting new keys.

In my opinion, the easiest route is:

1. Buy two new key fobs from www.rockauto.com at $54 each

2. Have your local GM dealer cut two...

Re: Oscillating thudding Right Rear

One thing you can do is try using the process of elimination to pinpoint or isolate the problem.

You state it might be a tire problem. An easy way to find out is to simply rotate your tires (back...

2007 Saturn Vue 2.2 not holding RPMs

Hello Gents,

So last night I went ahead and installed new AC Delco spark plugs, ignition control module (ICM), Ignition coil, and coil-on-plug boots.

The engine appears to be running somewhat...

Re: New Vue owner - rust proofing question

How difficult would it be for a total newbie like myself to do the timing belt? Would you recommend it or should I just buy the kit and let my mechanic do it for $500? I've watched videos and have a...

Re: 2007 Vue seat swap! Sick of my park bench factories...

I paid a mechanic to replace the front bearings as they failed 2 years ago. Last summer, I decided to play mechanic with zero experience and replaced rotors, brake pads, struts, stabilizer bar links,...

Yes oddly enough the car starts right up with no issues and appears to be running fine. For these, I'm thinking to replace the following parts as they're all original with the exception of the spark...

I changed my struts last summer on a 2007 Vue 2.2. I didn't see anything in the documentation talking about camber adjustment, nor did I see how you can possibly adjust camber given that the top...

Re: 2007 Vue seat swap! Sick of my park bench factories...

The seats look good. Would love to do this as the stock seats are utter garbage, but I'm at 139,000 miles and I'm not sure sure I want to spend any money to improve the interior at this point.

Re: 2007 Saturn Vue error codes

I have the 2.2 liter L4 engine. I used a colleague's cheap Veepeak OBD2 scanner to pull off the codes, although I'm not sure if this device can accurately read the codes off a Saturn Vue.

Is there...

As you may recall, when I attempted to remove the brake...
