Re: Dual caliper setup

Scott, I agree with Pierrot , just get slotted drilled rotors with ceramic brakes. That's what I did. They're like $80 a set, and work fine. I have multiple cars, and my LW300 had the worst braking,...

Re: Low beam blow outs with new LED lights L-300

02 LW300 you may be on to something.
Chickbutcher , I have the DRL disabled on mine. I pulled the under-hood relay and jumped 2 pins in the relay socket. I'm old school and always drive with my...

Yeah I didn't get the answer today. I thought it snapped out, but it put up a fight. So I stopped. I avoid snapping dried out plastic tabs whenever possible.

I'd...

Re: 2002 L300 interior dimmer switch

I've replaced mine once. It's starting to fail again.

It's a 4 pin connector on my LW300, but my model doesn't have the tailgate release option, so two wires will be missing.
I was just going to...

Re: Note to self...don't fill the gas tank to the brim...

There's guys here with the details, but when you round up, it still overflows. You just don't see it because it dumps into your evap system. And it don't like that.

When you top off, it's...

Looks like one of the image hosts I used is done with.
Here's the fore mentioned cradle photo for future reference.

Re: Saturn LW300 L. front door speaker removal

/\ true words.

I imagine you're staying with a stock replacement. The connector might give you a little bit of a fight,.

I had to "core out" the old blown ones and mount the replacements...

Re: Oil Change Rant......

I have to agree, for the tabs to be busting off continuously, reverse installation was immediately suspect. But I'm not sure it would even fit that way.

As mentioned here, the filter element...

Re: 2002 Saturn L300 Dust Shield?

Thanks . You were right though. I saw a lot were out of stock. Then I found the two-piece Dormans in my Amazon history. But In the reviews the guys were putting them on Silverados and Tahoes.

Re: 2002 Saturn L300 Dust Shield?

My links include all my account stats so here's a screenshot of the details of the SAAB I'd like to try. But the mount bolts to the hub don't look right.
Does anyone have a stock image of the...

Re: 2002 Saturn L300 Dust Shield?

No, sorry if I mislead. I was referring to the dust shield styles in general. I didn't say they weren't GM dealers. They were aftermarket and they were Dorman's. Not specifically your model number,...

Re: 2002 Saturn L300 Dust Shield?

I'm driving without them right now . They were just too flimsy, full of holes, and deteriorated. I ripped them off easily by hand when I replaced the rotors with my latest sub-frame job.
I saw a...

I just want to say, Murf, a nice crafty hardware project with your hands is a good idea. With separations, it can get pretty stressful, and 24/7 stress will mess you up. Doing something you enjoy is...

You asked for advice.. sooo.. Easier and cheaper to just -

-Buy a $100 dead Ranger and pick a weekend. Do not discuss anything "truck" with ex.

- move everything worthwhile off the "ex-truck"...

Re: replacing front sub frame ?

I followed my last post with a picture of an actual GM cage bolt. The engagement is actually a little bit more robust. But the picture was ridiculously huge and there was no way to delete the post....

Re: 2002 LW200 with 306000km's - starting & not starting issse

My 02 LW300 had the start / not start issue just like yours at 100k miles. Random no-starts. LAter, starts right up.
A new Crank Position Sensor resolved the issue. I think I recall, it was not...

Re: 2002 SL2 Mystery Switch

I have a strong suspicion this is a sloppily installed remote starter kit. The Bulldog Security remote starter kit is a common Wal-Mart item. I have one downstairs I got for $5 at a yard sale and...

Re: '03 l300 oil warning light coming on for no apparent reason

I'm late to the party but the Oil pressure switch is right next to the harmonic balance down by the crank on my 02 LW300 v6. If you were doing the timing belt you likely disturbed it.

I replaced...
