First post in a while as I have been rather busy lately. Had a broken valve a couple weeks ago on my 1998 sl2 (1997 dohc motor). Got everything back together this weekend and it drove great, for two...

Just so everyone knows what the problem was:

Re: Hard to get into gear while engine running

I think you were right. I went to pull out the slave rod hooked on something and fell into the transmission. We pulled it back out and could not find anything wrong. It shifts fine now 95% of the...

Re: Hard to get into gear while engine running

The crank pulley checks out just fine. I'm looking at ordering the luk clutch and pressure plate. Do you recommend I change the flywheel? If so what brand?

Re: Hard to get into gear while engine running

Slightly more than 0.5". I will try that crank test, otherwise it looks like this weekend I will pull the motor and tranny. This will be the 7th time we've done an engine removal, I should be able to...

Re: Hard to get into gear while engine running

I get about .5" with the engine off. Do I need to test it with the engine running?

Re: Hard to get into gear while engine running

The clutch would fail that rapidly? We are talking in 4 days it went from shifting smoothly to taking a lot of force. Clutch passed the test where you slowly let it out and see if it dies or not and...

Another note. If I rev the engine to ~2500 it shifts into gear easily

Hard to get into gear while engine running

Car is a 1998 SL2. Clutch replaced ~30000 miles ago. I replaced the clutch hydraulic system today thinking that was my problem but that made no change.

Last Thursday my car started becoming hard...

Re: 6 Speaker System

My music isn't all that important to me. I listen to country at quiet to moderate levels, so tone was more important than volume. I replaced the 4 speakers with Xplod 4 way speakers (amazed at how...

6 Speaker System

Here is how I upgraded my speaker system to 6 speakers total. Rear speakers are 4" and fit perfectly in the rear deck. Can be fastened with drilling holes and fasteners, tape, etc. I simply spliced...

Re: Ebay Hub Adapter for 3g aftermarket steering wheels

What are you using this car for? If it is for everyday driving I can highly recommend not changing the steering wheel. That airbag is the only thing preventing your head from smashing the steering...

Re: help me help this idiot please

I may have to look around for the piston from engine 2, the piston was cracked through and the only thing holding the two pieces together were the piston rings

Re: 1996 SC1 mods?

It depends on the definition of city. My definition of city is speeds of 35 or lower with frequent stops for lights and stop signs. Most saturns will get 30-33mpg in this situation depending on the...

Re: 02 SL intake

No need unless you are driving through lakes. My saturn has been through snow, car washes, mud, puddles, etc and the filter always stays dry

Re: White '98 SL2 For Sale with 5,779 Miles!! Look at the Pics At Least!

Black interior and a manual transmission and I would be bidding at least to $4000 on that. I wish mine still looked that nice :D

Re: Sc1 ran engine dry, is it safe to drive at all?

I swear 99% of the people that say "Saturns are junk" is because they were too stupid to check the oil

According to your sig it's a manual. I have an AEM CAI and my friend has one of the ebay CAIs.

The AEM is excellent quality but expensive (unless you happen across a brand new one for $80 on ebay...

Re: Gauge swap...No SES ideas?
