Re: Transmission Mount Question

Best advice I could find when I did mine was to loosen the 2 top motormount to frame bolts. With that and the trans torque mount off you can shift the tranny back and forth to find the optimal...

Re: Question about the parking brake c clip

You can usually get a brake hardware kit for the rear drums at them autozone-advanceauto places. The kit contains new shoe springs, return springs and the c-clip (which by the way I'd be weary of...

Re: Low Beam Horizontal Aim.

Speaking off. I just purchased new low beam lamps since I noticed the same thing. I also scrubbed my lamp covers like crazy. Now I have piss yellow high beams and bright white low beams. I bought...

Re: Battery help Front connectors

No. Every battery I've bought for my saturn has fit. Perhaps someone stripped the termnals of your old battery and just put bigger bolts in the teminals ends or perhaps you just got the wrong...

Re: Loose transmission filter

Nothing wrong with the filters from autozone. I've replaced mine twice with autozone ones. Most likely you aren't lubing the the gasket with tranny fluid before installing or you are not tightening...

Re: what could be wrong with my car?

No. It should run for 2 sec when key is turned to run regardless. I think the HVAC blower relay and fuel pump relay are insterchangeble. Have you tried swapping relays?

Re: Gawh! Was anybody able to remove coolant drain plug for SL2(2002)?

Believe me, the problem will only get worse from...

Re: Dealer Overfilled My Oil, Says its OK, Is It?

Oh, it's fine. Better a quart too much than a quart low I say. My 99 with 150K burns that much in a month (from you yellow line to to full mark). I just got back from changing my oil and that was...

Re: Ready To Explode!!!!!!

Nevermind all that crap. I misread your post about reving to 3K and quitting. For some reason I though it was reving on it's own.

I'm with ssicarman on the 250ohm reading across the towers. ...

Re: Ready To Explode!!!!!!

Any chance you hosed down your TPS and IAC with TB cleaner? The TPS is easy to eliminate since it's not a required item. Simply unplug it and try to start engine. Your getting too much air, so...

Re: Bang bang bang, rumble!

Put your fingers under the the bumper towards the top of the muffler. If the muffler is too close to the rear bumber it will hit when starting, killing the engine and shift gears making a loud...

Re: Whats the difference AC 41-627 vs 628

41-628 has been discontinued. The heat range is the difference between the plugs. NGK and Autolites are the only plugs you ought to be using in a SL1 IMHO. 41-627 is AC Delco's recommended...

Re: fuel filter

WIX Part Number: 33931

You'll have to reuse the fuel clips and plastic mount. It's about 44 bucks or so. Saturn one is about 80+ bucks, but come with mount and brand new fuel line clip...

Re: dogbones....how many?

Transmission strut is underneath the air cleaner box. Don't why anyone would call the transmission dog bone a 'lower' anything, it's holding the top of the tranny.

Re: TPS Trouble

I only changed out 2 TPSs before I replaced the connector. I wouldn't definitely be looking for a cut wire or bad connector and this point.

Re: Key Alarm ding-Dong With Key Out

I'm gonna vote with ssicarman. If the lock cylinder pop out and steering wheel locks when key is removed and it still dings, the problem is the ignition switch and not the lock cylinder. Not really...

Well there is a thought. Just unplug the TPS and see if it gets fuel or cranks up. It's a long shot, but it's free.

Re: No Fuel

The blue wire isn't for the CPS. The purple and yellow wires are going to the cps. The blue wire is going to the knock sensor. CPS is much closer to the starter. If your getting spark your...

Re: Wats This Piston Soak Im Hearing

My 99SL1 rolled off the lot with NGKs in it. I'm the only one who has ever changed plugs in it. I am the original owner.
