Too true.....It has a clogged cat and needs a new thermostat...dunno if those would be causes....still mulling over what the hell to do with the whole situation

yeah the only estimate I have seen so far is about 1400 bucks........what tools would one need to accomplish this?

Well I finally found out what was causing my p0302 code and it was indeed a burnt valve in cyl 2. Compression was 50....so barring any sort of miracles I'm done with driving a Saturn for now.....I...

well swapping the coil packs didn't change the code, it's still coming up as P0302......so does that eliminate the ICM or no? I am not sure how you would test that? I've done a little reading and...

Well this sucks...cleaning the ICM and changing the plugs and wires hasn't made a bit of difference, the only difference is that the car smokes now from the oil that ran down in there...yeah....going...

Well I finally got time to take the coilpacks off..and they do look a bit dirty and like some gunk might have gotten down where the ICM mounts...but... I think, and am hoping...that the bigger issues...

I just took a good look under the hood, and it appears as though I have a coolant leak that looks like it's coming from the tip of the upper radiator hose going into the block..the stuff runs down...

I just scanned the car because my SES Light is out and have been randomly scanning it. My code reader came back with p0302. The car sputters unless you rev it .... feels like it wants to die but...

I changed the ECTS many moons ago....I know what the p0420 code is...it's the cat....you can actually hear it too...sounds like rattling a bunch of rocks in...

well an update of sorts...I used my lil code reader to check the codes to see if it was anything I wasn't aware of...and it's still the P0420...

This one took a little more than 2 hours total, less than two if you take out the couple times I had to stop to stretch and come in and take a look at this website.....I couldn't get to the last bolt...

That is what I wound up doing, but as I couldn't get into a good position in there instead of RTV'ing the gasket to the place where it went on the engine I RTV'd it to the pump itself...for me at...
