Re: Car wash in the winter, yay or nay
I made too many assumptions based on my limited understanding of CV grease.

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...
It’s not physically the same gauge I used last time, but the same manufacturer and type.
Last checks were 47psi as tested 2-6-‘12 and 8-22-‘13.
Today, the pressure did not hold all that long after...

Re: Axle Surface Rust at Sealing Surface
OK, thanks!
What made me stop was the rust in the splines that go into the oil bath inside the MP3. That surface rust will fret, circulate and wear the needle bearings.
I asked for an “A” grade...

:?:Before I try to clean-up this abused piece of S—-t axle, does anyone out there sell used, non-ABS axles that have been preserved with 5 cents worth of rust preservative?

Re: Axle Surface Rust at Sealing Surface
Thanks, but I did what OldNuc recommended. Initial results were hopeful. I never woulda thunk it!
Tomorrow, I will spin it on the lathe and use emery paper.
The internals of the axle seem perfect....

Re: New Washers for Used Spark Plugs?
As usual, you’re correct. I looked in a dirtbike owner’s manual and it agrees.

Re: S-Series Owner's Manuals 2nd/3rd Gen LOT
