Re: 2003 L-series Rend End Shims...

Close, but not quite. It is 2 bolts, no eccentric, It has 4 washers, that you isert under the rear suspension mounts. You also slot out the end of the lower control arm to give minor adjustments for...

Re: 2007 V6 Vue with 1000Km and engine knocking? Please help.

They can see it with a scan tool, but for them to see any unusual knock, it would be enough to pop a code and the ses on.

Re: Changing the serpentine belt on the Ecotec

It is really pretty easy. It goes in an oblong circle, with the tensioner holding force in the downward direction. There are only 3 pulleys it goes around.... Just make sure to look at it before you...

Re: Vue brake rotors suck

I know this subject has been beaten to near death, but I do want to add a few things in as well. First off, to those of you that claim to never have had problems with warping before, how old were the...

Re: can someone help me? oxygen sensors

What head work did you have done? Are you positive the timing was set right?

I would have to agree with SSi and think that a sensor was left unplugged or plugged into the wrong sensor... If it...

Re: Trade in my '07 ION 2 Sedan for this?

If you dont have too much negative equity, than I would say do it. But to go 2-3k in the hole to move laterally.... doesnt make sense. Your call.

If you do go through with it, nice choice. It is...

Re: Ignition Cylinder

I would suggest not using graphite because it coats the passlock sensor in the housing and skews the reading, making hte vehicle think it is being stolen. Use a petroleum based lube, and it is 1000...

Re: Brake light staying on (update)

Get on your back, face up to the steering wheel, under teh dash. Look at the brake pedal, you will see the switch. It is the only thing within 3 inches of the brake pedal with an electrical...

Re: Did some DIY service, coolant light is blinking...

If the TEMP/LEVEL light blinks then stays on, your coolant level is low. If it just comes on and stays on while driving, there is a discrepancy between ECT and TFT or ECT is out of range or TFT is...

Re: Steps to replace a 2002 Saturn 3 door coupe engine

I have done both, FWD and RWD, and if you have done a rwd, you will find this one easy.

Same principles apply to this setup as rwd, get to undo torque converter and trans to seperate, there are...

Re: What should I do now----oil cooler leaking

It should be resealed for free, as long as that is where it is leaking from. At least at our dealer it is.

Re: Power Steering on LS1

Do you have the updated tuned pressure hose? That could be the cause of your first failure, your second pumps seal, and the intermittent operation now. It makes a whine/squeal/hum when it needs...

Re: My car won't start even after replacing parts

Another quick check is to wiggle your IPJB, located uner teh radio, between the panels. If it will start after it, you have a bad fuse block... Have seen that a few times.

Re: timing belt replacement

First off, wrong motor. To do a W pump and t belt replacement on a 3.0l is usually at least 6-800 bux. On a Honda, it is a little easier, and parts are cheaper....

Second off, tool rental was for...

Re: 2003 Vue stalling/erratic tach

Failing BCMs often dont pop codes. It is when they are almost dead that they start doing that....

I am with IM, I would almost bet that your BCM is about to take the browns to the superbowl....

Re: Ignition Cylinder

My best advice to keep it cheap is to get a new key cut at the dealer, and lube your lock cyl wiht wd 40 or some other "super lube".... very good and cheap semi long term solution.

Re: 2007 Vue Squeaky front suspension

They need to check the spring tops, and grind the burrs off the bottom of the top spring rung. And replace the mount while they are at it.

Re: My car won't start even after replacing parts

Sounds like a bad neutral safety switch, bad RKE module, or a blown fuse.... rule out #1 and #3 before swapping an RKE module.... kinda costly.

Re: 97 SC1 EGR OBDII Code

A bad o2 sensor and/or a bad ECT can lead to this code being set, but 98 out of 100 times, it is due ot a bad actuator inside the EGR valve itself.

Re: Fuel pump retaining ring removal

Brass punch, hammer, 5 mins, pb blaster (if needed), and a beer.

Use the brass punch on the inside part of the ring, not the outer parts of the ring. If one doesnt move after a few firm whacks,...

Re: 2003 Saturn L200 Question

To answer it simply, no.

The satelite radio components are combined with onstar and a seperate xm module. You would have to have upgraded onstar, the head unit, the module, a different bcm, pcm,...
