220K miles, burns a fourth of a quart every 2 or 3 K. Previously owned by lead footed drivers who took damn good care of it.

Is the guage in the pic normal for after an hour of driving 80mph on the highway in 30F degree weather? The needle used to go almost to the verticle line just a few weeks ago when the weather was...

Re: Steering clunks a little when turning
Thanks everyone for the advice.
Unfortunately, an old back injury decided to act up, and I was unable to look at my car today.
I consistently hear/feel the clunks when I turn the wheel whether...

Steering clunks a little when turning
I finally got my L200 last Friday. I'm amazed with it's condition for having 207K miles. My dad drove to from NC to here, about 600 miles. I checked the oil when he got here, it was still on the...

I'm contemplating using seafoam, or some other product, to clean the intake and injectors via a vacuum hose and also the gas tank.
Do the intakes on these engines have a baffle system in them?

It's a 2002 L200 with 200,000, mostly highway, miles. My dad bought it, almost a decade ago, to drive to...

Re: Getting a 2002 L200. What should I expect?
Make sure you pick a spot where there's space for the nut. Also, use a short bolt that doesn't screw in much past the nut. A good trick I've used (that may be a little over kill, but I'd rather be...

Re: Getting a 2002 L200. What should I expect?
Are you saying I should follow the torque specs specified by the filter kit? Or follow the torque specs specified in the Haynes manual?
My dad showed me, many years ago, how to put a drain bolt...

Re: Getting a 2002 L200. What should I expect?
If he says they've been replaced, then they've been replaced. He has no reason to hype up a car he's driving here (to Kentucky) from NC to give me for free.
