Re: It's been a long time.....

I'm still here, still married, and still living in the same house, however I'm not driving Saturns now. The 08 Vue was reliable--probably the best Saturn I owned for that. I (or we--it was my wife's)...

Re: Saturn vs Subaru

Ironically, our old Saturn dealer is now the Subaru dealer. Same sales personel and service dept. So far I've heard several old Saturn customers say that they are getting same quality of service and...

Re: 2008 VUE reliability - how will it compare?

I haven't posted in a very long time so this is going to be a classic case of closing the barn door after the horse has gone, but I bought a 2008 VUE XR in late 2007 and drove it 100,000 miles by...

Re: Good ol' Saturn...

You have to have one to understand. That made it seem like membership in a club.

Re: General Motors Offering Saturn Owners Special Incentives to Test Drive Cars, Trad

I really don't want to buy GM in light of what happened in 2009-10 with the "old" GM going bankrupt just to get rid of debt and the subsequent dive in that stock---lost a few bucks there! Of course...

Re: GM had nearly $600,000,000 for soccer sponsorship...

The SRX is based on the Vue spaceframe, but shares few parts with it. The Captiva uses the same body panels and interior parts as well as most of the mechanical components. For all practical...

Re: GM had nearly $600,000,000 for soccer sponsorship...

And that's another reason I will stay clear of GM from now on. It seems Chevrolet management couldn't wait to get the best Saturns for their lineup. The got the Aura platform for the Malibu first and...

Re: SAAB Bankrupt

I was under the impression that SAAB had already folded. I know that dealers in the US had to declare their unsold stock (new cars) as used and sell without warranty--or offer a third party add on...

Re: Traded in Wife's '08 VUE on new Fiat 500. Fight for your Saturn's value!

About a year ago, my wife wanted a new SUV to replace our 08 VUE XR. It had 100,000 miles on it but was totally trouble free and in great shape. I faced the inevitable 100,000 mile service and 4...

Re: Thank You for Participating in SaturnFans.com's 2012 Saturn Reunion, Should We Do

[QUOTE=adventureoflink;1926215]I wish---only a slushbox. Couldn't get another stick L200 that late in the year. If only the L300 had a stick,,,,,,,,,

Re: Thank You for Participating in SaturnFans.com's 2012 Saturn Reunion, Should We Do

I've posted several messages on the forum this week, but not a "testimonial". So here goes. Back in 2001, I had a new L200 5-speed. I was on Ky55 headed tward the Bluegrass parkway and came up to a...

Re: Saturn Reunion Announced

I really miss the SC2. It was the ideal sporty car for someone that needed reliable economic transportation, but wanted something with a little panache and class. I even used my 1999 SC2 as my...

Re: Saturn Chat Tonight at 9pm

Charlie, I won't be able to make it--I work till 10:00 and it would be after 10:30 before I could get on. It would be nice to be able to chat with the old group once more. Possibly another time down...

Re: Question of the Day: If You Had to Make a Choice Today, What Would Your Next Vehi

I had owned Saturns since 1992,when I first "discovered" them. Unfortunately, last year I got a Volvo C30 because I couldn't find anything GM,Ford,or Chrysler made that really called out to me like...

Re: The 2012 Virtual Saturn Reunion Starts Now

Hey, everyone. I've been around the forum even tho I traded my last Saturn, the 08 Vue for a Volvo XC60 for my wife. I got a Volvo C30 about a year ago and love it. It reminds me of my past Saturn...

Re: So if Saturn was founded January 7, 1985.....

Well, it appears that GM IS trying to change the way dealers sell cars (ie. the Saturn way). Chevy is introducing no-haggle pricing and return guarantees on their cars. This was just recently...

Re: Do you think they will ever build Saturns again?

So, GM dumped Saturn and gave the best part of Saturn's philosophy to Chevy--their corporate arch rival. That's what the board of directors wanted all along---do the Saturn experiment with Chevy and...

Re: Do you think they will ever build Saturns again?

It didn't help that the ION was built on the same architecture as the Chevy Cobalt of the time and Chevy was dealing on those while Saturn was no haggle pricing the ION's.The cars were too similar...

Re: Why Do You Own a Saturn?

I've owned Saturns since 1992, all were new and all were highly regarded. I traded them just because I wanted a new car--all were still in great shape when I let them go. I've owned SL's, SC2's, L200...

Sadly, the 08 Vue had 96,500 miles on it when we traded. Nothing wrong with the car, wife wanted a Volvo.:(

Re: Traded the Vue in today.

I did find 2 sights---Swedespeed and C30world that seem knowledgeable and friendly. I still think Saturnfans is one of the best.

Re: I must bid a fond farewell to an old friend.

I learned that if she ain't happy I ain't happy. As for Chinese ownership of Volvo, GM has at least 2 factories in China (co-owned by them) building Buicks and engines as fast as they can--the cars...
