Re: New owner of a 2002 LW300

There are threads within these forums with snapshots of timing belt procedures. If I recall, one or two are fixed tensioners and the third one is spring loaded to allow the timing belt some slack...

Re: Coolant Temp

I think you're engine is fine. The gauge needle between the 1/4 and 1/2 marks is the range for a good t-stat (between 185F-200F).

Re: stabilitrack and service hybrid warning, no codes

^ Can it be discovering the factory main power wire gauge was less than optimum after long term ownership, correcting it with larger gauge wires? Hopefully this mod prolongs your hybrid for several...

Re: Can you get a false positive for a lost communication to the Body Control Module?

One easy confirmation of security working correctly; turn on ignition and observe the instrument panel lights and indicators - all cycle on for a few seconds (including security) then turn off...

Re: Running hotter after tune up

You might be one of a few with a t-stat failing hot. As mentioned, the majority of t-stats failing run cooler with the ecm/pcm generating P0128. Replacing the t-stat corrects the problem. Yours was...

Re: Coolant Temp

Your '95 engine used two coolant sensors. A single wire one for the temperature gauge and a two wire one for the pcm. Is the two wire sensor connected to the pcm? This sensor is more important than...

Re: 0-20 Oil and Saturns

In theory, yes, if mixing equal parts of both oils. Below is a temperature range for multi viscosity oil. 100% synthetic oil can help in severe temperature regions if costs are equal or less than...

Re: Where is the relay connect between the wiper assembly and washer fluid located

While this is only one thread, http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=267260, the wiper motor and module shown in the amazon link is a lot cheaper. If I;m not mistaken, the black...

Re: Where is the relay connect between the wiper assembly and washer fluid located

If this were my car and saw the $172 replacement cost for wiper motor and module, I would find any/all info on likely causes of this problem, find wiring and fuse, then attempt to determine if the...

Re: Where is the relay connect between the wiper assembly and washer fluid located

The windshield wiper/washer stalk switch assembly is not the steering column. It's replaceable as a separate unit to the steering column. A few have found theirs erratic with similar symptoms,...

Re: 0-20 Oil and Saturns

If I'm not mistaken, 0w20 oil isn't recommended for year round use. In freezing and sub freezing temps like Canada, Alaska and the upper Midwest states, 0w20 should work well for easier cold weather...

Re: 2007 Aura XR power mirror problem

Unless someone has access to electronic service manuals, provide info from alldata or Mitchell, you may have to search extensively for free info.

My guess is without a wiring diagram, you may...

Re: Where is the relay connect between the wiper assembly and washer fluid located

It may be the wiper/washer switch on the steering column since it controls wiper motor speeds and washer pump operation.

Jeff0172, thank you for trying the diy catcon test. While it may not be the best way to determine if a catcon is damaged, many here were fortunate in finding theirs damaged, creating a constipated...

Re: Running hotter after tune up

At 240k miles, nothing lasts forever. When the fan runs, is with force or not? A well worn (original?) cooling fan eventually wears out its brushes and slow down or runs intermittently. It should...

Re: Can you get a false positive for a lost communication to the Body Control Module?

Amazing!? Your'e on a roll now. Narrowing this problem from either a spark or fuel issue, verifying spark visually then using starting fluid with the engine firing up eliminated many things. Not...
