Re: Crank, no start, no codes

Gas station no starts can be caused by over filling the tank and getting liquid fuel into the evap system. Cured by putting the fill nozzle all the way in and not topping the tank when the nozzle...

Re: Bleeding Brakes on ABS system: '94 SL2 HCE

When replacing the rear calipers did you let the fluid in the master cylinder run out/dry/no more fluid in the master?
If so I would try pressure bleeding the entire system.

Air in the master...

Re: PS Evo connector help

Picture of the electrical connector from the first post would help in describing how to disconnect.

Depressurize what? The fuel tank? It is not pressurized.

Re: 06' VUE V6 Cyl #4 misfire code

Cylinder #4 is the first one (front of engine) on the front bank.

On these Honda V6 engines out of adjustment valves can cause misfires.

Re: the old water pump r and r trick on a 2.2 4cyl

You need to use a special tool mounted (and properly torqued) at the front of the engine to hold the chain sprocket in place. If not used then you will have issues with the chain tensioner extending...

Re: '98 DOHC Head Gasket Replacment

From poor memory the bracket looks like it could be for power steering pump. Maybe something to do with the intake.

Re: Are there any S-Series that have the GM L81 3.0L V6 Engine?

The S-series never had a V-6 from the factory

The Saturn L81 or versions of appeared in the L series, the early VUE's, SAAB 9000 and the Cadillac Catera.

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Rear Brake Pad Swap (Special Tool Needed) ?

In your service manual picture the brake bleeder is at the top of the caliper, all three diagrams. One bleeder per caliper. If this is what you removed/opened then you are golden. Just may need to...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Rear Brake Pad Swap (Special Tool Needed) ?

Brake clean will clean the brake fluid off of the rotors.
I have never split the calipers open so I am not sure what seals them. It may be a rubber type seal or metal to metal sealing. For safety...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Rear Brake Pad Swap (Special Tool Needed) ?

To replace the brake pads on the style of caliper in your picture you do not remove the bolts. The bolts hold the caliper together and if you removed/loosened them than you have caused brake fluid to...

Re: Please help - need idle pully stuff

The idler pulley mount/support is part of the timing chain cover. The condition yours appears to be in...not really there at all, means that you are looking at replacing the timing chain cover.

Re: battery vs. alternator

Pull the covers off of the ends of the battery cables as the corrosion can build under them and not really show.

Re: 2000 L 5 spd clutch issue

You may want to get a different mechanic. Self adjusting hydraulic system. A quick visual inspection would show hydraulic lines instead of mechanical linkages.
