Re: Vue Stuck Horn and the Switch By-pass Method

Started right up this morning without the horn relay in- problem's gotta be in that circuit somewhere. I'll post back when I have some news to report or have results from any further adjustments.

Re: Vue Stuck Horn and the Switch By-pass Method

Also noticed that only a "service" light shows on the dash. With the horn relay in, I get the "service" and the "service engine soon" lights.

Re: Vue Stuck Horn and the Switch By-pass Method

Went out to check on it today after cleaning battery terminals yesterday ( good suggestion, Grumpy!) and no start again.

Going through the fuse box, I found that the horn relay was hot to the...

Re: Vue Stuck Horn and the Switch By-pass Method

Well, it seems something is still draining my battery. The car will not start if it sits for more than a few hours. This is a new battery (less than 2 months old)

When I try to start, the engine...

Re: Vue Stuck Horn and the Switch By-pass Method

That's kinda what I was thinking. So far, the new battery is working great.

Thanks for the quick reply, Grumpy!

Re: Vue Stuck Horn and the Switch By-pass Method

Well, I did the bypass method last March and it worked like a champ- saved me lots of money.

We went on vacation for a week in July, and the battery was dead. I boosted the VUE and it ran fine...

Re: 04 Saturn Vue Rollover crash w/ pictures

Thanks for posting the photos. It's great to know what a VUE can take and still be able to protect its passengers.

I'm glad you're OK. I hope you git that jerk who caused the accident.

Re: clear corner markers

The clear taillight covers are as elusive as unicorns. If a run of these is done, I might go in on it. Depends on price. They sure would look nice on my blue Vue.

Re: 2002 AWD V6 won't accelerate to highway speed.

Lubbock has dust storms that makes street lights come on in the middle of the day and can be seen from space. It's enough to get some grit stuck in the fuel injector of a car sitting on a sales lot....

Re: 2002 AWD V6 won't accelerate to highway speed.

Have a look at the fuel injector if you haven't already.

I had one get stuck once- on the second day I owned a brand new Saturn- and had us going no faster than 35 on I-20 between Sweetwater and...

Re: Strange new discovery today

My old '78 Impala had the same issue, but no adverse side affects. You could start the thing with a flat head screwdriver.

Hopefully the VUE will be OK like this for a while longer. :)

Re: Strange new discovery today

My 2003 VUE developed this problem in 2007. I had Saturn replace the cylinder, which fixed things for about two years. Now the dang thing just lets me pull out the key whenever.

Good to know that...

Re: Power socket?

I recently purchased an AC adapter/FM transmitter so my iPhone could charge and play music over the radio while I drive. The first two times I used it, it worked great.

The third time I went to...
