Re: The Flashing 3.5l Vue Fix.

I pulled the battery out and see corrosion everywhere. Battery top looks somewhat wet and it is bulging. Guessing that the alternator fried it. I put a different battery on and all is well now....

Re: The Flashing 3.5l Vue Fix.

My Vue is doing this now. I had alternator issues this summer and got mine rebuilt locally. I asked him to use OEM parts. I started it and checked voltage and it was at 14.4 but the lights continue...

Googling around I have a few things to check...

Possibly put springs in wrong somehow and they are rubbing.
New springs do not have enough tension.
Parking brake cable not routed correctly.

Re: Aftermarket mods for an 06 Vue

OP was not trying to make it sporty, he just wanted to dress it up a little (rice IMO, but to each his own). I am doing a few simple and inexpensive mods to make it a little less dull to drive and...

Re: Aftermarket mods for an 06 Vue

I am interested in the springs and urethane bushings. Do the bushings have a grease zerk? Let me know how much you are looking to get for them.

Re: Poor traction

Like youknowme said... You put the better tires on the rear. If you lose traction from the front, the worst is that you cannot turn and go straight down the road or into a ditch or get stuck.

If...

Re: Possible New (to me) 06 Vue... Buy or pass?

Replaced the 2 rear spring seats this weekend. Both split and were hanging out rubbing on the strut. Replaced the rear sway bar bushings with some greasable poly Energy Suspension ones while I was...

I have this one. It is great. Installs with 2 simple threaded hook thingys to your headrest supports and is very sturdy.

I didn't care for the kind that wedge between the floor and ceiling...

Re: Possible New (to me) 06 Vue... Buy or pass?

Ordered some husky mats. Going to replace the spring seats and hatch struts tomorrow.

Figured out that the drivers side heated seat doesn't work but the passenger does. Amy ideas where I should...

Re: Possible New (to me) 06 Vue... Buy or pass?

Pulling the trigger on it.

Any good places to buy the rear spring seats and hatch struts online?

Also need floor mats. Any recommendations on some all-weather ones?

Re: Possible New (to me) 06 Vue... Buy or pass?

Not sure. It was off when I looked at it and I didn't see anything odd. It is a custom git with folks and cutouts and everything.

Re: Possible New (to me) 06 Vue... Buy or pass?

All good info guys, much appreciated.

I know the idiot ding for leaving your keys in works, so hopefully that means the box was installed with the stereo.

The other question I had regarding the...

Re: Possible New (to me) 06 Vue... Buy or pass?

No warranty expected. They said they changed the oil & filter and did a safety inspection.

The slop is not dangerous, just looser than what I am used to. I would compare it to driving a full size...

Re: Possible New (to me) 06 Vue... Buy or pass?

I asked the dealer to diagnose the suspension noise and they said it was the spring seats. Said parts were $65 and labor would be $365. Said they would either fix it or take it off of the price. I am...

Possible New (to me) 06 Vue... Buy or pass?

Looking at a Vue as a secondary mode of transportation for me. I normally ride my motorcycle, but want something to get around in when it is not safe or too wet to ride. Also need to be able to haul...

Re: 01 SC2 strus...new but wierd..

Just wondering if anyone knows if the GR2's have the same setup as the stock, or if they are a little stiffer? The ride is pretty harsh, it feels like riding in something dropped real low with a...

Re: 01 SC2 strus...new but wierd..

Everything looked good when I saw it. It still felt slightly loose, but it sounds like an alignment should take care of it. I guess the shocks may have needed a little break-in time?

Re: 01 SC2 strus...new but wierd..

Do these cars even allow for camber adjustment? I didn't really pay much attention to what was in there when I was doing it. Asking because if I take it to a cheap alignment shop, they won't bother...

Re: 01 SC2 strus...new but wierd..

I'm almost positive everything is bolted back up... I don't think I would have left something undone. But it does feel terribly off and that could be it. No alignment yet, will be getting it done...

01 SC2 strus...new but wierd..

Just put some new KYB GR2s all around on my girls 01 SC2. It has 107k on it now. I was pretty sure they were bad in the back because of all the clunking going on back there. The clunking is gone now,...

Re: Turn signal Problem

I don't think that it was in an accident. It is possible. I think the reason for the repaint is that the front bumper is "spiderwebbing". I think that's the term. At the point in the front there are...
