Re: GM's Personal Audio Link (PAL) iPod interface

Weiil, I called Saturn about this a month ago and asked them about the status of the PAL for the Outlook. They said there would NOT be one for the Outlook. Rather, the CR said to use the aux input....

Re: Stock Audio vs. Advanced

Well, I have the stock system. I also am no audiophile, but it sounds fine to me. I always have preferred factory installed audio for the clean look, but I am so dissatisfied with GM infotainment...

Re: Yet another reason to seriously considered in-dash navigation v. portable GPS

Well, all things being equal, I agree that the factory nav would be the way to go. The problem is that GM continues to fail in implementation of infotainment systems.Ifthe system was what I need, I'd...

Re: Saturn Outlook Personal Audio Link (PAL) System?

I called the local GMC dealer today. I asked if they could get the PAL for the Acadia, and they said no.

Re: Saturn Outlook Personal Audio Link (PAL) System?

Has anyone heard anything more about this?

I just had a disturbing online chat with a representative named "Alisha" using the "live chat" function of Saturn's website.

Here is a portion:

Re: Making Dash-mounted “cigarette lighter” power plug ignition dependent?

That's true for some things (like the radio) but not the power port.

Thank you for all of your suggestions.

I also thought of trying to cut the wire and install an in-line switch like another...

Making Dash-mounted “cigarette lighter” power plug ignition dependent?

My dash-mounted power plug retains power even when the vehicle is off. I know that's how the Outlook is designed, and some folks like it that way, but I want it to turn off when the vehicle is...

Re: Can you switch to Sirius Satellite Radio

There is also scuttlebut that even after the merger, current tuners will only be able to pick up their originally intended (i.e., XM or sirius) programming & that you will have to buy a new dual-mode...

Re: Can you switch to Sirius Satellite Radio

I asked this question & here is what I was told:

Basically, you can add an aftermarket sirius radio (like you could on any car), but it will not be able to use the built-in XM antenna. Also, I...

Re: Order Now Or Wait For The '08?

I have heard that the backup camera will be an option for 08. If you can verify that & can bear the cost of it, I'd wait for the 08. The rear window does not start until pretty high up. There's a...

Re: 3 car seats in the outlook?

I agree. I have my oldest child (who can buckle their own booster seat) sit in the third row & put a rear facing seat in one second row captain's chair and a forward facing seat in the other. With...

Re: Climate Control Issues

I appreciate the thought for the workaround. Perhaps I'm being crabby, but I think I should not have to deal with a work around. Although it's cold here today, the temp read 100 on start up. I...

Climate Control Issues

My automatic climate control seems finicky at best. The other day when it was very cold (around freezing) out, the temperature gauge read 80 degrees.

On at least one other occasion, the AC would...

Re: Noise/Click under drivers area when starting out

I also noticed a similar sound. I asked the dealer about it when I went in for the recalls. They originally said "no noise found". I had the tech ride with me and he heard it & he said it was the...

Information Re: Which option did you choose that you wish you hadn't

Options I wish I had:

1. Enhanced Convenience Package. The reason I want this is for the power-fold mirrors. Getting 2 wide vehicles into the garage can be a challenge. It sure would make it...

We got the 2nd row Captain's chairs. We put 1 carseat in each of those, plus the the third in the back row. The eldest child can easily walk between the captain's chairs to get to the 3rd row.

I too think the reviews went too far BUT, IMHO there is no way to say that the Outlook (which I own) is as convenient for children to get into than a Honda Odyssey (which I also own).

Don't get me...
