Re: A Confusing MP7 Slamming Gears

This has nothing to do with your slamming, but I'm pretty sure that is high (you want the ATF level to be in the middle of the diamonds on the dipstick). I haven't looked at the owner's manual in a...

Re: Muffler Question

Paint your new muffler (and muffler strap) with a couple of coats of high temp POR15, then spray over that with a few coats of your favorite high temp engine paint.

Re: HAI: How hot is to hot?

Nice set up. How much mpg are you getting from this, or too early to tell?

Always had in mind to set up something similar, but in 9 years never made the time. Had something like this in mind for...

Re: Excessive oil consumption

Step 14, rather than disconnect fuel pump or fuel pump relay, pull the PCM-B fuse from the box under the hood.

Per OldNuc, that disables the fuel injectors and spark (no PCM signal - shuts off...

I know, right? :D

It's almost a joke in the computer / IT fields, and a meme in its own right

Re: New 99 SC1 owner

Could also be a bad thermostat (tend to fail open on these cars)

It's an odd thing to do when it is ~90F outside :) but after about a 20~30 mile drive, turn the heat on full - should be...

Re: po037 came back

Did you try unplugging it, and plugging it back in? :D

No, seriously.

I researched P0037 some time back and that was the most common solution. The wiring for the secondary O2 goes over a...

Re: 2001 SC2 Timing Chain Questions

Can't hurt much to try a flush, unless your problem is a stretched or worn chain and the chain breaks.

If using something like a small amount of MMO in addition to regular oil, you may want to...

Re: Best Sunshades During Parking for a '98 Coupe

The folding reflectix type is probably best at blocking heat (foil on both sides, thick bubbles in the middle). I have a set for the minivan with its huge front window

For the Saturn, I use a...

Re: Traded in Saturn in 2007. Spotted today 11 years later. PICS

It was lookin' good in 2007.
Shame the new owners did not keep it in good shape.

I've run across guys I sold cars to years later.

Nice to hear them say good things about the car. One kid...

You can do auction, auction with reserve price, fixed price (basically, buy It now only), or fixed price with best offers.

Re: Shifter Fitment

Thanks for confirming. Every once in a while, I think a '95 SC2 may not be a bad thing to own. I like the first gen looks, 3nd gen interior :)

Re: '98 SL2 To Fix Or Not To Fix

Timing chain rattle doesn't go away, so it is probably not chain-related. Could be lifters, pulleys driven by the serpentine belt, or something.

Check the rear left (driver side) of the black...
