Re: Blowout!!!

As far as I know, my space had been used 3 times by me and twice by my father in the last 19 years. I wonder how much life it has left in it, lol.

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

I planned on replacing all the bulbs in the rear with LEDs today, but I only ended up doing the reverse lights and high mount brake light. The tail light/brake light bulb does work, but not without...

Re: Blowout!!!

There are 13 inch wheels out there that fit, not sure which ones though. Would having 1 wheel be 2 inches smaller than the rest be safe? I've driven on the spare a few times and that already feels...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

I swapped out the bulb that lights the two front cup holders with an led cause the stock one was so pitifully dim. Now it's bright enough to make whatever bottle I have in it glow at night :D

Re: Foglights bumper question

The car I got my fog lights from at the junkyard weren't flush with the bumper and they aren't flush with mine either. I'm pretty sure the S-Series fog lights never sat flush, although some people...

Re: after going from reverse into drive I hear some thuds in the front end

Does it make the same sound going from reverse to neutral? The transmission can clunk when the reverse gear engages/disengages. Is it very loud? I noticed it for the first time while running the car ...

Re: How accurate is your odometer?

Mine always seems to be spot on with google maps. I donít always want to have my phone mounted to the windshield so I just go by the miles it says until the next exit and keep track with the trip...

Re: 1998 SL1 rear bumper skin compatibility with other models?

The 2000 base SL (not 1 or 2) also had a grey bumper. I'm not sure if the base SL was dropped in 2001, but they where all painted by then

Re: 1996 Sc1 front left fender compatibility

96 is still Gen 1 for coupes. You would need a fender from a 93-96 SC1

Re: What will I get if I order GM Mats for Saturn, OEm part # 21038725 ?

Sorry to bring up a dead thread but I recently bought these mats as well, only from gmpartsgiant.com. They where made the same exact day in 2010. The only difference is I have 33/40

Saturn SL3

I was looking around some part catalogs earlier and while checking the "what this fits tab" for a trunk net, I noticed there was model listed as "Saturn SL 4DR 3 1993". Is this actually the SL3 that...

Re: Would this be enough to keep the engine stable while replacing crossmember/subfra

I used Rust Bullet on my new one. It's a rust inhibitor like POR15, but its also UV resistant. It seems to be holding up well so far

Re: Would this be enough to keep the engine stable while replacing crossmember/subfra

I used the Harbor Freight support bar when I did mine a few months ago, it worked well. I pulled the fenders back though because I didn't want to chance the weight cracking them.

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Found this leather shift knob on eBay...from a Pontiac Aztec. Apparently the Aztec and last few years of the Oldsmobile 88 use the same part as the S-series. Looks like GM went to the Saturn parts...

For the front, What I normally do is jack up the car along the frame where the subframe bolts on to, leaving enough room to next to it to put the jack stand. The rear can be jacked up from the rear...

Re: 96 Saturn SL2 crossember rust.

The 4 subframe bolts are 18mm if you're asking about to those. They get torqued to 151 ft/lbs
