Re: Wiper Linkage - Saturn Vue

Yes, I live in Ontario, Canada.
I heard a "clicking" from the wipers for about a week before it let loose... I figured it was just the wiper blade making noise.
Funny thing is when it broke, I had...

Wiper Linkage - Saturn Vue

Well, I haven't seen any links (no pun intended) for the wiper linkage on a Saturn Vue... so I thought I'd post this for posterity.

The passenger side wiper stuck up the other day while the driver...

Re: Who has most miles on 4 cyl Vue?

Hit 250,000km (155,000 miles) on my '06 2.2 5spd last week... and about 100km later the alternator died.
CIL came on too for some sort of Evap leak... I just clear the code every-other day. (Yes, I...

Re: Need service, s. Ontario

KW (Saturn) Saab Isuzu? (Victoria and 85)
They're the former Saturn dealer in town... not sure if they still have knowledgeable techs though but they still have some parts.

Re: '06 Vue with Random Front End Bad Vibration

Found it!
The vibration was getting worse... it was as if the tire was loose or separating but this would go away once I pulled over.

It ended up that the front left brake pads were seized tight...

Re: '06 Vue with Random Front End Bad Vibration

Well, got under it today...
Wheel nuts and wheel bearing are tight.
Everything else looks good.
I bent back all of the metal tabs that are inside the rotor. (But they didn't appear to be...

Re: '06 Vue with Random Front End Bad Vibration

Thanks again for the ideas.
I checked the lug nuts and they are tight. (One of the first things I checked!) But glad you mentioned it!

I also have an occasional squeak too.

Now, here's my...

Re: '06 Vue with Random Front End Bad Vibration

Thanks for the input.
I depressed the clutch and coasted but still had the vibration.
The best way to describe it is like driving down the rumble strip on the side of the highway. (Go ahead... say...

'06 Vue with Random Front End Bad Vibration

2006 Vue 2.2L 250,000 km.

Just had the lower control arms replaced (bushing were bad) and stab links last month.

Now, after driving it about 10km on the highway, I get a bad...

Re: 2007 w/Rusting Liftgate??

Well... mine started rusting (again) from around the trim piece.
It was bubbling and now has broken through.
I took it back to the dealer (Bennett - Cambridge ON) that repaired it the last 2 times...

Re: Rear Wiper Motor: removal and lube?

Nevermind... found the clip that holds the shaft in. (Was dirty/badly corroded.)

Hammered the hell out of it to get the shaft out... lots of white lithium grease applied and re-assembled.

Re: Rear Wiper Motor: removal and lube?

Took mine out last night, cleaned everything and found that the shaft from the gearbox to the wiper is seized solid. (I put it in a vice and used vice grips but it's solid.)
I noticed above that...

Re: 06 Vue Front End clunking?

Update!
Replacement of the stab links didn't get rid of the slapping/clunking noise and feel so I took it back to Canadian Tire today to have the front struts and upper mounts/bearings replaced.

Re: 06 Vue Front End clunking?

Well... took it back to Canadian Tire today to check out the noise in the front suspension... they ended up replacing the stabilizer links again under warranty (they were only a year old.) They said...

Thanks Bismark318.
That's exactly what I was referring too.
(Wish I saw that post before I tore everything apart to figure it out.)

06 Vue Front End clunking?

I have an 06 Vue (Std, 4 cyl) and lately, whenever I go over bumpy roads (which seem often in Ontario), I feel a clunking in the front end.

I feel it more in the body (accelerator pedal, floor,...

Re: Squeak from drivers side front wheel, but...

I recently had a similar problem that drove me nuts... the squeak would come and go at random time.
I replaced the pads, cleaned and lubed the calipers but still it would come back...
I eventually...

Re: 4 cylinder Vue 5 spd, under powered?

As just about everyone else has said... the 4cyl is adequate (barely).

Most power comes above 3200rpm, which makes me glad I have the 5spd.

But once you're used to it, it's fine.

I only...

Re: 06 Vue 4cyl Randomly stalls/reboots

Update #2.
Well, it's been a week and it hasn't died/reset lately. (But then again, I haven't used the AC that much this past week.)
Perhaps a combination of the heat with running most of the...

Re: 06 Vue 4cyl Randomly stalls/reboots

Well... here's where I'm at so far for troubleshooting...

It appears that this only happens when the AC is on and when or just after turning left.

I pulled the fuse panel under the centre...

06 Vue 4cyl Randomly stalls/reboots

This is getting scary... I have an 06 Vue with 4 cyl engine.
Every once in a while over the past 3 weeks, the car appears to reboot while I drive. The car will lose all electrical for about 1 to 3...
