Re: oh oh - brake line leak!!!

Yes. For my garage guy, the car went up on the 4 poster, so working on removing the brake lines is more of a doozy than normal crawling around underneath. Once he'd got all the lines off and some...

Re: oh oh - brake line leak!!!

I had all lines replaced on my son's 2003 L300 in 2018. I had it done at an indi garage I use. The bills came to $703.00 of which $539.00 was labor. Although the coils of metal line aren't all that...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Won't stay running after a breakdown and bad...

Brandon, I agree with RJ2000, slow down and avoid going off script.

That said the IMRC component is something we had an issue with on my son's 2003 L300. It's a simple throttle type valve...

I checked in my Haynes and it appears to have the same picture as you have.
According to that photo in Haynes, the flat, crimped edge of the filter is at the back pointing toward the rear of the car...

Re: Could the Chinese corona virus be good for your car? Perhaps...yes...

It really saddens me that when we have a human disaster amongst us (and I mean globally, not just the US), that some groups and individuals choose to use as an opportunity to disparage others, to...

Re: Could the Chinese corona virus be good for your car? Perhaps...yes...

I agree with DFryer. My son is in lockdown in Brooklyn. It is no joke. The whole Covid19 is no joke.

The Earth is not flat, the US did go to the Moon and yes Covid19 is killing people.

You can...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Preparing a Coolant Flush w/ DEX COOL Orange

You are overthinking this again!

If you understand how the cooling system works, then you will understand the flushing process better.

The coolant within the engine is 'controlled' by the...

Re: 2000 Saturn LW2, the wagon with the V-6, shows many error codes

Given the car was parked up in Nov 2018 and not even looked at until Nov 2019, that's a pretty good chance the gas will be bad, not just in the tank but throughout the fuel system. You could have...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - STINGER Isolator 200 AMP + Auxilliary Power

I don't want to get dragged in to the debate on this, but my simple question here is WHY do you want to do this?

Why do you want a back up battery? Do you envisage Armageddon?. It's not a boat or...

Sometimes we are all masochists, especially when it comes to cars. If your electric cooker or refrigerator goes on the blink, unless it's an easy fix, you'd get rid, but somehow we persevere with...

Re: 2004 L300 running rough

Don't guess what you have, determine what you have. Ignore the badges as they are confusing at 2004/2005. If yours is a V6, look under the hood and the top of the engine will have 3 pipes coming out...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Preparing a Coolant Flush w/ DEX COOL Orange

I'm just dipping in here, then dipping out. I have no wish to get dragged into any debate.

If you want to flush out or essentially clean your coolant system, then consider buying a bottle or box...

Re: Walmart oil

I have been using Supertech Full Synthetic on all the family vehicles (2 x Saturns and 2 x GM's and 1 x Chrysler)for over 8 years now. NEVER an issue with this oil. I've had the valve cover off the...

Re: The other check engine light

Before you rush out and splurge $200 or whatever on a code reader, just keep it simple to begin with. As has been pointed out the Wrench light covers NON emission related problems.

So I would...

Re: Performance chip

Tuning up Saturn's seems to be more of a 'thing' on the S series cars. That said there is one guy who was a serious poster some years ago and if you dig deep enough you will see what he was doing...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - Battery Harnass Removal Problem + Left headlight Removal Issue

The metal battery tray that you showed in one of your pics is normally painted black but usually ends up looking like yours with rust on it. When I did the transmission job on my son's 2003 L300, I...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - Battery Harnass Removal Problem + Left headlight Removal Issue

Haynes Manual states for battery removal....

1) Disconnect the connections

2) - Remove protective cover (if fitted)

3) - Remove the Fan Control Module. (In the Haynes manual there is an...

Thank you Charlie. I've used this site for about 6 or 7 years and this site has helped keep both my 2 son's Saturn's on the road. I honestly do not know what I would do without this site. I'd...

Current Up/Down Nature of the Site

Re: Door Removal & "Wiring"

I think you may be overcomplicating this job for yourself.

If all you are doing is equipping your car with power door mirrors, then that is all you should focus on. It doesn't require a wholesale...

Re: 3.0 L PCV Valve Help?

You have nothing to lose with that option.

I have an 03 Suburban and that has the tiny empty tin can with the ball bearing in it as a pcv valve connected to 2 rubber in/out hoses. Due to reports...

Re: Car stalls

If you had vacuum leaks or components allied to emissions you would have codes.

When was the fuel filter last changed? It could be fuel delivery issue?

Can you confirm for the benefit of all...

YES! Totally compatible. Indeed if you have a manual drivers seat you can replace it with a powered seat (its also heated) as well. All L sereis carried the same wiring loom, so all the wiring plugs...
