Re: Saturn Reunion Announced
This is the HumpMan and I have to say that I miss Saturn. I still have a Saturn, though, having acquired a 2008 Saturn Astra right before Saturn stopped production back in 2009 (?). I later sold my...

Re: Checking on my local dealer
I will miss my Saturn retailers. I think they are scheduled to go out of existence by "October 2010." Whether this means the first or the 31st, I don't know.
I am planning on getting one more...

Re: Has your retailer closed yet
Alas, one of the two "closest" Saturn retailers that I have gone to has closed in the past week.
Saturn of West Broad (near Richmond, VA) closed on November 21. :tear:
The ownership group once...

Re: Should Saturn Add a Microvan to Its Lineup?
I'm guessing that was created from the Opel Agila...
Here it is listed among 7 other "small cars."

Re: Should Saturn Add a Microvan to Its Lineup?
At the very least, Saturn needs something to compete in the Yaris/Fit/Aveo market.
Spring Hill should have been allowed to develop some sort of Aveo-type vehicle years ago. The hard part, IMHO,...

Re: Saturn Brand Advocate Meeting Recap
Holy Hatchback, Batman!
This is so awesome, Charlie!
I've only glanced through your recap once, but there were many, many items that gave me great hope. Heck, just the fact that they had such...

Re: Opinions Needed!!!
I like the first one.
It blends a bit better with the swooshes on the side of the car. Others here have called that "Saturn-based." They could be a little smaller and still have the effect. ...

Re: Windshield wiper sweep
I haven't noticed this on my 2003 VUE, but I did try an experiment with wiper lengths a while back. IIRC, the VUE uses a 24" on the driver side and a 19" on the passenger side. Since 24" wipers...

Re: An AURA XE Review
Yeah, it was a good review. I have always respected Warren Brown for his fair-minded approach when doing his reviews. I liked the review so much that I even "pinched" the Car Pages section of the...

Re: Did a Saturn ever save your life?! (Stories)
I feel that one of my Saturns (Blue, a 1997 SC1) saved me from my bad driving. Back in 1997, after having the car only 5 weeks, I flipped it on its roof at about 60mph. Poor Blue wound up being...

Re: Lohan Exposes Herself in Front of Sky
Hmm...
reminds me of an old poem I once learned.
"Mary had a little lamb,
She stood against the light.
Who gives a damn for Mary's lamb,
With Mary's calves in sight!"
Almost forgot to...

Hmmm. I lost my passenger side nozzle for good a few weeks ago. It popped out twice a couple of winters back, but then it stayed put until just recently. Of course, with freezing weather, some ice...

Re: Spring Hill closing? Feb. 2006 Motor Trend
It's just my interpretation of my reading of GM press releases, but I think there may be some confusion as to what will get "shut down" at Spring Hill. I think it's all but certain that the portion...

Re: SKY to start at $23,690
OK, but why should Saturn cede the more frugal shoppers to Pontiac and Mazda? Maybe GM is dictating the positioning, but I can't see more options and some less expensive models to be a bad thing......

Re: SKY to start at $23,690
Hmmmm.
I suppose the price isn't that bad, based on today's car prices, but I think it would have been a big coup if they could have brought in at least one model under $20K. That would certainly...

Re: Orgin of name "VUE"
Uh, don't know where you heard about the moons of Saturn, but the SL1 and SL2 names came from "Sedan, Level 1" and "Sedan Level 2" which were the developmental designations. Just like "Saturn" was...

I like the little quarterly magazine that they used to send. But I hope this new one will have a bit more "meat."
When I owned a GMC Sonoma, GMC sent a pretty nice magazine that gave...

Yes, thanks, Charlie, for all the hard work!
IMHO, it looks like they've made a lot of good decisions as to feature enhancements and changes.
I have hope again for Saturn... :)

I seem to always name my Saturns based on color.
My current Saturn is an orange '03 FWD 5-speed manual.
I named her "Clementine" as that is a variety of orange...
