Re: 2008 Saturn Buying Experience - Deal Or No Deal?

Just my opinion but I wouldn't buy another Saturn till GM decides the fate of Saturn one way or another. To say that any GM dealer can work on them is not 100% true. When I had a small electrical...

Re: scan gauge

I've got an 07 Greenline. Temp goes 190-198 degrees, my voltage varies too but I chalked it up to the batteries recharging. Haven't had any problems with it so I'd say that is about normal. By the...

Re: Oil?

Mobil 1 5W30 for me too, change it out every 7,500 miles. Not sure how trust worthy the oil life monitor is.

Re: Keep those seats HEATED?!?!?

Not sure about the new Vues but my 07 keeps the seat heaters on until I turn them off. Switch is below the radio and stays on at either LOW or HIGH setting.

Re: Ohio State Saturn Vue

I agree with GFloyd-it's a red Saturn, what's the big deal. My 07 is Chili Pepper Red and looks very much like this color. I'm old school where red is red - not Victory Red VS Competion Red.

Re: fall weather..means mileage drops........

I've been told that part of the mileage drop off has to do with the fuel being reformulated for winter conditions. It has higher drying agents and more anti-gel to prevent winter temps from...

Re: When do most change their oil?

With regular oil I go 4-5 thousand, now that I've switched to Mobile 1 I go 7,500 miles between changes. Just keep an eye on it so it isn't low or looks too dirty.

Re: ScanguageII and 08 Vue

I don't know if there is any difference between the 07 and 08 Vues but I have an 07 with a ScanGuage II. It has been connected constantly for the last 8 months and has never failed a diagnostic test...

Re: No Parts stores carry the oil filter socket

If your local stores don't carry this try TOOLSOURCE.COM. I got mine there for about the same price. Allow a few days for shipping, works great.

Head Light Adjustments

I've got an 07 GL and am looking to adjust the headlights so I can see better at night. I've gotten the SilverStars in and they helped but the curbside high beam seems to be pointing way up in the...

Re: Trade in our 2007 for a 2008?

I too have an 07 GL and thought about trading it in for the newer body style. With the depreciation I've decided to wait on the new 2 mode hybrid, hoping to get some mileage close to the Prius. I'm...

Head Lights Adjustable?

I've got an 07 GL and am not happy with the headlights at night. Are the beams adjustable, it seems that the curbside light points up into the air too far. I've got the SilverStars in already and...

Re: Coolant temp?

I've got the 4 cylinder motor 2.4 in my 2007 but my ScanGage readout is normally 195 degrees. That's open road with out hauling anything. 225 degrees sounds high.

Re: New Vue XE - First thoughts

I got a ScanGage II about 3 months ago. So far none of my scans from On-Star have come back incomplete due to the ScanGage. I've read about this myself but it hasn't happened to me yet. I really...

Re: Roof Rack and Trailer Hitch Added to 08 Vue

Looks Great - I don't need one myself but a lot of people talk about adding them on this site. I did get the factory hitch added when I bought mine but haven't needed to pull with it yet. Still...

Re: Stopped in Wal-Mart by another Vue driver

Similar thing happened to me in 2007 when I picked up my new GL. What I want to hear about now is the newest 2 mode hybrid from actual Vue drivers. I've read enough press clippings, I want to know...

Re: Stock Bridgestone Dueler H/T vue 3.5 awd

When ever I'm looking to replace tires I always start at TireRack.com and read the reviews. Will give you a good idea of what a lot of other drivers think about their new tires.

Re: 2007 Vue Green Line

I bought my 07 Green Line about 15 months ago and it has been great so far. No problems and the plastic door panels saved me some money when a guy turned into me six months ago. He had damage and...

Re: GL oil change?

That 32mm socket you need is a special shorty socket. My local stores didn't carry one so I ordered it through ToolSource.com for about $8.00. Works great and it is very easy to use with an...

Re: Fuel economy tracking - '08 Vue XR FWD

Just a heads-up to any new Saturn owners, when your defrosters are on to get rid of the ice/snow on your windows you also have the A\C on. It knocked my milage by 10-20% till I saw it posted on this...

Re: Replacement headlight bulbs?

Replaced the factory bulbs in my 07 GL with the silverstars about a month ago, wasn't a big deal. They are the 1/4 turn plastic insert type. Small fingers are a plus but can be done without too...

Re: Brush Guard on a Vue??????

I got a factory brush guard on my new 07 GL, decided the front end was too plain without it. Wasn't cheap, over $300 if I remember right, but dressed up the car. Definately isn't very functional,...

Re: 2004 vue 4 cyl. Exact tool/size remove oil filter

I just got one for myself. It is a 32mm(1 1/4 inch SAE) very short socket (Less than one inch tall). I got mine from ToolSource.com for $7.95, no one locally carried it. They also had another one...
