Re: Performance Spark-Plugs

"Performance" plugs will do NOTHING for you unless your current plugs are worn or just quit working. Money spend on these types of plugs are a waste. Now if you had MAJOR mods internal to the...

Re: PA emissions concerns for mods

I would think as long as you keep a catalytic converter on the car, you should be ok.....but others with experience should also be able to provide better info.

Re: Adjusting clutch position on 06 Ion

Re: fluids

Assuming you have a manual trans, it's behind the left front wheel. Good luck getting it out....it is behind the frame. I believe you need to remove the engine mounts & raise/lower the trans/engine...

Re: ION 2 Brake Inspection

No real need to actually check the brakes unless you are having any problems or noise. Even with heavy stop-n-go driving, you should get at lease 30,000 miles on the brakes.

Re: size of fuel tank

Re: would like opinions

meh....to me, it looks like you're trying to mimic the Pontiac Sunfire's ugly front end that is parked next to the Ion. Sunfire = the ugly!

The QC has a great front end on its own. Add a grille...

Re: rev limiter?

Someone on here does have a turbonator & claims it really works well, despite all of the FTC claims against it.

108 is 5500 is 4th & just shy of 4000 in 5th

Re: rev limiter?

108 is slow.....this from someone who believes the Turbonator & Fuel Ionizer actually helps with fuel mileage & horspower. Are you getting 40+ MPG from that setup??? :dizzy:

Re: best oil for ion

Mobil 1 = synthetic
Mobil Clean 7500 = synthetic blend
Mobil Clean 5000 = conventional/'dino'

And just for those who persist, Mobile = city in Alabama.

Re: blinker issue

BINGO! This is the problem.....the bulbs on the Ion that are turn signal are dual-filament. They work as parking light (& DRL) as well as turn signal.

So the blinker may not work, but the DRL or...

Re: For those of you looking to get a bored TB....

That'd be great, but most people don't do it. They just come back with "I bet it's got like 15 more HP!!!!!".

I have my doubts that this mod does anything at all besides making some think it...

Re: Seatbelt Locked Fully Retracted

Is your driveway on a steep angle? If so, then that's a start of an explanation of the problem. If it's relatively flat, then the mechanism is still of concern.

Re: Help! Wife broke the drivers door!!!!!!!!!

www.saturnparts.net

Not sure which year/model you have. I assume 2004 Sedan. Front door: upper hinge is ~$22 upper hinge, ~$22 lower hinge.

Your local deal probably has similar prices, but...

Also, I was going to change mine, but you have to break loose the motor mounts to get access to the drain plug. Let...
