Ok this is some weird ass stuff. Cleared the codes by pulling the PCM fuses this time. Started it up.. sam stumbling at idle.

HOWEVER... now its ONLY code 43 - knock sensor....

I knew it was too good to be true... I checked over my engine today, everything looked perfect - no oil leaks or anything. Compression numbers from a couple weeks ago were perfect (204-203-205-204)....

Well I called the shop... he said he noticed it too when they were checking the deck. He said he measured .003 or so.. BUT, he checked it in his computer database (whatever they use) and their spec...

Take it to a shop and throw the guy doing it a few dollars cash. You will destroy the bearing trying alternative methods (hammer, etc).

I cannot see the heating up / cooling method working either.

the autozone/advance auto / etc ones will work fine. They're all the same. Yes, they will crack 'eventually'. But, they come with a lifetime warranty.

well I checked the entire wiring harness routing carefully, no breaks in the wires.

After running it a bit more (runs like crap of course), another code got set.

DTC 41 - Ignition Control (IC)...
