Re: Rubber between doors, air noise

floridasl22002, I like the repair idea you suggested in post #22. I'll have to give it a try. Meanwhile, I have ordered another Panel Assy. (so-called at gmpartscenter.net) for the left hand B...

Re: Stirring up the pot on when to check the oil level in an ECOTEC 2.2L engine

Perhaps it came up because of that. ;) Maybe a quote from a Billy Joel lyric is appropriate here - "you may be right, I may be crazy!" :dizzy::xeye:

Indeed!

That's fabulous...good for you!!

Re: Door moulding

If I'm understanding the description of the location then you have only one source, a wrecking yard.

An accurate part description can help others to be of more assistance to you. For future...

Re: 2003 Saturn L200 Anti-Freeze/Coolant Leak?

Very helpful attachment pictures in that post, fdryer.

Look up OTC Tools water pump pulley holder p/n 6616 (DO NOT USE LISLE 13800!). I purchased the OTC tool for the repair and it worked...

Re: Factory paint

^Yup, you've found the last color. It seems to me that the interior design boys at Saturn got a bit rambunctious one day with the L-Series after '02. They eliminated oak (brown) and introduced...

Re: Factory paint

^soulsurvives is correct about the three interior colors and that's all that there were. The company named the grey pewter and the brown was named oak.

Re: 2003 Saturn L200 Anti-Freeze/Coolant Leak?

Wow...with such low mileage you could have that car going for a very, very long time!

I'm suspicious of a water pump leak. The water pump is located at the front of the engine (passenger side) and...

Re: 2003 Saturn L200 Anti-Freeze/Coolant Leak?

Welcome to SaturnFans, Methos6848!

Well, the story is informative of the problem. I have questions:

1) What is the mileage and maintenance history of this car?
2) Have you noted any...

Re: Saturn hatred

In general, I agree with you. The issue for the young man in the article is about poor decision making. Things just cascaded "downhill" as a consequence. We all must take charge of the good (and be...

Re: Factory paint

You're right about that other blue. I've seen it rather rarely, but I actually like that color better than the silver one that I have. Additionally, you're also correct about the gold colored cars in...

Re: Factory paint

You've identified the colors correctly in post no's. 3 and 4. Post no. 5 has a silver wagon. Admittedly, the silver has some element of blue in it which one can see as daylight diminishes. In full...

Re: Saturn hatred

I read the article. This young man had a terrible experience and it's not hard to feel badly for him and for what he went through. We all must face the fact that there are people who've had bad...

Stirring up the pot on when to check the oil level in an ECOTEC 2.2L engine

For a very long time I've wondered why my L-Series Owner's Handook informs me that the oil level should be checked five minutes after the engine has been shut down. It naturally seemed logical that...

Re: Websites to find this part?

No, the b-pillar cover removal in the video is not similar enough to the operation required to remove the exterior door trim appliques on our L-Series cars. The only similarity is in pulling the...

Re: 07 ion transmission fluid check

To the best of my knowledge the "check engine" warning light is for emission related trouble codes, a small number of which relate specifically to the transmission. The failure of some emission...

Re: Turn signal randomly stops working on 2001 L200 2.2

You aren't mistaken. The flasher switch assembly doubles as the turn signal flasher. Any time the turn signal is on one can feel the "ticking" immediately behind the emergency flasher button.

Re: Saturn L300 Making Whistling/Buzzing Noise When Air Is On

The '04 L-300's could have either the four cylinder or six cylinder engine in them. Which one is in yours?

In the OP it was stated that the compressor was leaking. If that is correct then no shop...

As you're already aware, the condition...

Re: 07 ion transmission fluid check

With respect to the Aisin AF23 I cannot say. Some Japanese transmissions have dipsticks which will give you a "cold" reading, no warm engine required nor would the engine need to be running. However,...
