Re: Brake Fluid change

I had a tough time getting mine bleed, one trick I found was to put a little (doesn't take much) thick grease around the base of the bleeder screws before opening them.

It prevents air from being...

Re: PCV valve and "catch can"

Thanks Billr

While contemplating the idea of doing it I got the thought that if I get a oil trap with a clear bowl then that would be a good indicator of how much oil is coming out on a regular...

Re: Timing chain sets

Makes sense, I just would have thought they would have noticed lower coolant, or drips/puddle if looking for an issue on that side automatically (mine has neither of those issues currently).

Now...

How did you determine it was the water pump after all?

Did you have to tear into it to figure it out?

I replaced the water pump when I did my rebuild but I know that doesn't rule it...

Re: Blown spare

I'm just curious, but if you took the time to go to a yard why not just get a full size factory rim/wheel? will they not fit into the trunk like the factory doughnut spare?

Also, I like OldNuc's...

Re: Blown spare

Excellent advice OldNuc, I have never thought of using a bike inflator for the car but as long as it's for a schrader valve bike why not.

Also, around here if anyone uses a slime type fix-a-flat...

Re: Blown spare

Did someone ride on it until it blew then just put it back in the trunk?

Or did it overheat in the trunk and blow?

I've heard of spares going flat over time in...

Re: Spark plugs, heading to store need quick opinions please

Thank you fdryer!

You typed a lot of words to not answer one question I asked;

Have you run BKR5EKB-11/3967 so called race plugs?

What is your opinion on these topics about side gaped plugs?
