I had an Expedition with the famous sticking latch switch. I shot some WD-40 into the latch itself and it managed to free it up and it hasn't had a problem since (my mother is driving it now)

Yes.....IIRC all you need is a male quick disconnect terminal to attach to the ground wire of the new head unit (you just have to cut the round terminal off the wire and attach the quick disconnect...

We are usually applying trunk liner style carpeting to sub boxes, but 3M Super 77 spray adhesive usually works really well for that.

Yeah....the newest new one was the one I was referring to. We have had the all-in-one antenna ones for quite some time, but the newest redesign went to one plug instead of three for the antenna,...

Do you know if those are the same as the 3mm Leds that are on the other site? Super Bright Leds has 3mm ones but I don't know if they are the same. I think they are cheaper and I can order them all...

Is the little security light on the dash blinking when it happens? It's entirely possible when you replaced the battery that it kicked the coded keys out of the system.

I've installed hundreds of remote starts through the years....did one earlier actually. Viper is definitely the way to go, installed properly with the correct bypass and there shouldn't be any...
