Just completed filter install. All great info here. Was nice to have extra working room with rear end up on ramps. Only comment would be to tread lightly on the plastic clips till you figure them...

Don't forget to check the radiator drain valve. Went too far over a cement parking stopper and it opened mine up; coolant leaked out an overheated 10 miles down the road.

Just wondering if the slrmotorsports performance chip is any good for mpg increase. Have a '98 sw2 5 speed that goes back and forth on the interstate 126 miles per day.constant even driving @68mph....

I got the saturn one out of Saturnparts.net and it fit the same, slightly oversized as mentioned above but..... the saturn one didn't include the valve cover stud grommets/gaskets. Kind of cheesey on...

It should have been ruled out with the wire swap but have you accounted for all the blunt screw tips on the plugs? Changed out my plugs the other day and went in with a q-tip to clean out the grime...

Chased this problem with my daughter's 96' sl2. Turned out to be the etcs which was replaced with a new saturn one. Solved the prblem. The telltale sign was the temp gauge would intermittently go...
