Re: '03 Saturn Ion Instument Panel Cluster Replacement Woes

Thanks for your reply!

So the problem is that the IPC displays the wrong mileage, I assume the mileage of the car that the IPC originally belonged to. When you start the car, it briefly flashes...

Bent drum brake backing plate (I'm an idiot)

Long story... Did a rear brake job on my '02 SL2 last weekend. I couldn't for the life of me get the drum off. Hit it with a hammer, with a sledge, etc. It loosened to the point where it would...

Re: Weird Bridge Off of Driver's Side Headlight Circuit

If it was the NSA, at least they were nice enough to fuse the box. Note that there's a second connector above the one that's plugged in, and it is unplugged? Would an engine tuner look like that? ...

P0340 constant and idle stalling

Re: Well, I screwed something up... (instrument cluster, tach, odometer)

Called my local Saturn retailer, they said I could pop in a used cluster and they would program it for 1 hour of Tech2 time ($95). Horray Saturn of Raleigh!

Off to the junkyard...

Re: Well, I screwed something up... (instrument cluster, tach, odometer)

So, assuming its ESD and I need a new cluster...

First, do I actually *need* a new cluster? Will a vehicle pass inspection if one of the numbers in the odometer is not visible? I live in NC and...

So I was replacing the bulbs (4 of the 5) in the instrument cluster and couldn't get the far one by the tachometer working. I was fidgeting around with it when I somehow pulled the tach needle off. ...

Transmission whine after fluid/filter change

I changed the fluid/filter on my g/f's and my '02 sl2s as part of my normal 30K maintenance, both autos. Hers has 110K miles, mine just broke 60K the other day.

Re: Dumbest Unintentional Thing You've Done To Your Saturn
