Anyways,

My wife came from work, we went to the Food Lion parking lots and the car cranked the first time as if nothing ever happened, so I strongly believe it is the starter and I will change it.

Thanks quantumech and adventureoflink, battery has sideposts and I just changed the negative post so I doubt it but will do.

Is there a fuse that protects to the starter?

I will try that. Also I forgot to tell, I checked to see of there were any error codes, and were none.

Any other ideas?

Once I had the same problem, but mine was something very simple: my battery has side posts and the negative post bolt had bad threads, so the loose bolt was causing the lights to go...

So far so good, looks like the problem has really been solved. After 4 days and over 100 miles in city traffic the car runs just fine.

Hey,

This is the second day, and I drove the car probably 5 times for a total of about 40 miles in the city traffic. I will come back with an update tomorrow.

I had that infamous CPS problem with all the symptoms, e.g. engine dying when driving, or when hot; some weird trouble code, can't exactly remember but something about not getting some...

It looks like it may protect the radiator from little pieces coming in an angle, that's why I was thinking to replace it. Can I find a place online that sells used bumpers? I could use a lower cover...
