I pulled the top passenger side mount and I honestly don't know what's good and what's bad, the "rubber" (rubber?) is intact and feels reasonably firm although on the mazda sites they claim that OEM...

I had a 97 s and it was decently fun to work on... This site and it's members response time and knowledge blew my mind. Sadly now I own a mazda and have an issue that I can't figure out and haven't...

Does this ever happen intermittently and cause random missfire while on it's way to failing??? I have read on this forum I think from fdryer of knocking the CPS and getting different resitence...

You are correct. It was a VATS system I do believe. No crank. Once the wires were reconnected it was just fine. Just trying to help rule out a passive theft deterent system for the issue.

The passlock system failing would not permit the starter to run. On a 95 olds i put my foot through the wires behind the kick panel that check resistance on the key chip once and it wouldnt even...

definitely have a valve cover leak, gonna take care of that today. P0300 i suspect from oil leaking down to the ICM. Hope the Timing cover isnt leaking also. Any culprit for the knock sensor code?...

RPMs raise to 2k at start up and then drop to 800 after 7 seconds... im thnking TPS.. but would love a second opinion. Will be checking compression wet soon
