Iíll also add I remember sub 30psi on the suction with temps at 90 and an extr fan on the rad.

Somewhere I have a DVD service manual fir my 02. Iíll try and dig up the AC performance spec chart....

The older our cooling fans get the slower they spin from the perm magnets in them getting weak from heat exposure.

That will cause the high side to be higher that normal. I use flow fan blowing...

Well itís been a few years since I started this thread. I finally changed out the plugs for the platinum version. They had 60k miles on them and gap erosion was at .055.

So it was time......

I finally changed the spark plugs.

They had 60k miles on them. They were eroded to around .055 gap.

With the EK plugs and the Mag Core wires my little SL is a torque monster��.

It has no problem doing 30mph in 5th gear and accelerating with 0 knock retard.

I averaged 46.78mpg for the tank...

Every slow leak Iíve had on various vehicles has always been the schreader valves.

Iíd replace both the high and low side and start over.

If you are going to try topping it off put a fan...

It seemed to be both eBay and Amazon. I bought the double platinum 6EK dual ground plugs and they look legit. I have over 50k on my regular 6EK plugs and itís time to swap them out.

A friend of mine retired his 2001 from the rear drivers side suspension rust.

I got the AC compressor off of it. It pulled 30Ēhg almost instantly. Left it on for over an hour, checked for leaks...

On the 4Runner Fourm I belong to a bunch of people have ended up with counterfeit NGK spark plugs.

I looked at the Dual ground plugs in a double platinum and they seem to be legit.

The reman AC compressor I installed last spring just had the clutch fail. Just like my factory one did. Itís out of warranty.

I know the Stant stat started to open at 190. I use to have my IAT sensor against the Rad and at 190 the IAT would start climbing above ambient.

My engines never overheated and the rubber looked normal. Itís just a part of it lifted or separated from the disk. I may have a picture of the failure in my thread.

Iíve had it with the rubber inner seal of the Stant ones failing on me every two years.

I put a Murry in it this time around. Itís made in Israel and has metal to metal seal for the inner disk.

I know everyone here says Stant only. However, this is the only repair I do repeatedly. Itís annoying. So, Iím doing something different and made in Israel is far better than China or the other cheep...

The rubber Iím refering to with the Stant is the disc has a rubber seal and it pushes off the disk hanging the t-stat open partially.

Iím going to pull a vacuum on it and see if it holds vacuum. If not I may remove it and replace the o-ring and put it back where it was.

Yes the T1819 Scion radio is great and it looks factory so Iím not worried about theft. Iím in my car for 50min each way to work.

I enjoy driving the 4Runner. But it sucks that I canít drive it...
