Re: Dying 2.2 Engine

Thanks, that is still an option. I would do the swap myself in my garage. I have a truck and a friend with an engine hoist.

Know of any...

Re: 2005 Vue 2.2L 5 Speed P1640/P1599/P0455 Codes

I think this problem has been solved by installing the correct model UHFB and rewiring as described on this thread: http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=208060

Roll Eyes Re: 2005 Vue 2.2L 5 Speed P1640/P1599/P0455 Codes

I replaced the canister vent solenoid and reset the CEL by disconnecting the battery.

The CEL came on again after a 4 mile drive.

I think a smoke test is my next step.

Re: 2003 Saturn Vue DRL issue

Lie on your back and look up in the space between the front wheel and the bumper on the driver's side.

I just replaced it on the 2005 and it solved the problem. They break apart after time.

Re: 2005 Vue 2.2L 5 Speed P1640/P1599/P0455 Codes

CEL light was off when I ran the Vue this morning, so what tripped it the other day may have been related to the -5 Degree temp.

If it comes on again, I'll check the code and possibly replace the...

Re: 2005 Vue 2.2L 5 Speed P1640/P1599/P0455 Codes

What cheapo code reader are you using that reads this on the Vue? Neither Actron units I have will read anything on this vehicle.

Sounds like the Low Coolant Level Light, not documented in the owner's manual. See below. Check your coolant level.

Our 2005 was showing this with a full coolant reservoir. The sensor is not...

Re: 2005 Vue 2.2L 5 Speed P1640/P1599/P0455 Codes

I removed the battery positive cable to reset the codes, then installed the new purge solenoid. Started right up with no codes.

I'll monitor it to see if the problem returns.
